A Different Kind of Driving..

We all had lots of fun last nite.. so much laughter that I was worried we'd be banned for disturbing the peace! Despite lots of stares, no one dared to say anything.. as we had our KSA security force in uniform :rock:

As u can see, many were wearing sandals & just had a go at it. What a way to spend a mid-week tt + exercise! Special thanks to coaches omnimech, Nightswan and Irfan for the free lessons & use of equipment :top::top:

For the record, our host TRJ won the matchplay 2-up. Congrats & terima kasih daun keladi for the invitation. Captain Irfan will restrategise and arrange a return match in due course..:top:..

UPDATE :

1) 11 cars have confirmed participation with 3 more pending confirmation by tomorrow.

2) Cars Bikes Truck (NST) will participate in the convoy. Pending confirmation from 2 other media.

3) Endorsement by Tourism Malaysia & Tourism Authority of Thailand. They will host a Dinner & Show for Malaysian Convoy on 13 December 2013 in Bangkok. The Malaysian Convoy shall be ambassador for Visit Malaysia Year 2014. In negotiation with Tourism Malaysia to be part of grand parade during launching of VMY 2014.

4) BMW Malaysia will provide breakdown service from KL to Thailand border and back as well as car for media.

5) Event organiser will provide special parking at main entrance to the venue.

6) Sponsors shall be announced later.

We will accommodate few more cars and participants. Kindly PM me for confirmation.

Some of the KSA guys are organising a drive to Bangkok this coming December to attend the All BMW Clubs 2013 event on the 15 December 2013.
Below are some details of the drive:

Invitation to attend the annual All BMW Clubs 2013 meet at Bangkok Drag Avenue.
Limited to 15 BMW Cars from Malaysia (edited).

11/12 : Convoy departs KL to Surat Thani Thailand
12/12 : Continue journey from Surat Thani to Bangkok
13/12 : Visit to automative plant in Rayong
14/12 : Free & easy
15/12 : ABC 2013 Event
16/12 : Convoy departs Bangkok to Surat Thani
17/12 : Continue journey from Surat Thani to Kuala Lumpur

There will be participation by local press and media.
We will be met by Southern Thailand Bimmers at Surat Thani and convoy together to Bangkok.

congrats bro! although event has yet to take place, let your efforts so far be an example to all those in the habit of organizing events. good & timely updates, well-coordinated arrangements, sponsorship & media involvement, and most importantly, your obvious passion to make it happen. kudos for putting this together with minimal fuss and funding, and in a very short time. all 'event managers' take note; this is how it is done :top:
