Let us know how it goes with the usb interface. INPA is very fast and capable as you can see all the live data and errors. But really need an expert to decipher all the information.

Up till now, I use INPA to clear the usual airbag warning on my car since it launches very fast unlike DIS.

Agreed with aidilj, there are times you will want to use INPA but be careful with some of the functions. e.g. you are supposed to reset adaptation with engine off (DIS guide and warn you, INPA does not).
In INPA , you are supposed to be able to tailor the white screen menu and call the test scripts.

Thanks guys for the tips..

Any more thing I should not do when using INPA.

I have read this thread with great interest.

Recently I bought thru ebay on this interface. Should be able to receive it next week. The s/w that comes with it will be dis52 base+dis55+tis2007.12+dis44(coding+progman). TIS and coding/programm functions are all activated now! also including INPA 5.02 with EDIABAS. 6.47)

Any comment on this in term of their full functionality as per GT1?

IanDaddy, I didn't know you can execute scripts in INPA, useful if somebody uses it alot repetitively.

jarance, not an expert here but just be mindful when using the software. But since INPA can't code the system it is safer than say carsoft where clicking a wrong button can mess up you car. Is my statement correct at all IanDaddy..

EasyDIS just needs ediabas compatible interface and you will be golden. From the description, this interface looks ok. The software comes in a DVD?

I have not used INPA all that much and have not tried calling the scripts. I have read the manual and there the an built in programming of sort. DIS is safer to use to begin with before moving on to INPA/NCS/WinKFP etc.

Talking about WinKFP.There is an interesting thread about DME flashing using WinKFP here http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1628787&page=6

Not for the faint-hearted, Perhaps Jarance will be brave enough.

r37720, how much did you pay for this cable?

I bought it US$141 including shipping... that is the best price can get... dealer is from HK

This weekend project : reset adaptation value. IanDaddy, you did this with INPA or DIS, which one do you recommend?

I first did it with INPA. But I recommend you do it with DIS, there is a part where it describe all the adaptations (additive, multiplicative, idle, and many more) help you understand how each of them work.

OK guys, the USB cable for INPA compatible EDIABAS works. Just try it on my E46 and data are coming.

Guess the next step is to slow play with it. BTW, how to reduce the page size or the font on the VDU?

Jarance how much for the INPA/Ediabas +K-DCan interface?

BTW ive almost got the PaSoft 1.4.0 Interface to work on DIS... only to find out that the OBDII Cable are wired wrongly... im "this" close to resolder the whole thing and to get all the item like what bro aidilj
did...

Until i got a supplier from Shanghai... going to get a group buy thread to get a good price of $120 with shipping DHL 5 days arrival (without 20Pin socket)

So what you guys think? Should i organize the purchase??

Xcrave, if you're buying from a different supplier than jarance I suggest you get a unit first and test it with all the programs you planning to use it with, be it inpa or gt1. This is to make sure the interface is working as intended. Other than that starting a group buy for this is a good idea. Also don't forget to sort out software distribution model.

What do you mean exactly when you say you almost got pasoft interface working in gt1? You modified your interface already?
