The last group buy organised by Jarance was in May 2011 and now the supplier has reduced the price to USD27.00 per unit. I am prettty sure you will be ordering from the same supplier i.e. obdchina.com.

What I am trying to say here is it is ok to cover your some of your cost of ordering since you are doing a favour for the rest who requires it. It is certainly NOT OK to markup more than 100% margin if you are doing it as a favour. Please further take note that this Classifieds section is not meant for members to make hefty profit from our fellow members. It is not longer the question of willing buyer willing seller. It is about member being taken advantage of.

If you plan to do it on a commercial basis, please register as a club vendor or place your advert in other commercial websites such as mudah.my or lelong.com.

Herbert, each seller has his/her own source of securing the items. Yes, you may suggest where is a better place to do order from etc but if the seller have purchased the item at a higher cost, does that mean that he/she is required to sell the item a current market price, at a lost? And I believe as a VP of the Club, to accuse someone of marking up 100% without any solid proof, is highly disrepectful.

Again, with no intention to bring up the old cases but I believe selective prosecution is at play again this time around.

I doubt wingzee is trying to make a fast buck from just 2 additional item from this sales. Different supplier have quote different prices for the same item. Though they look the same but some do not work the same as advertised. I know for a fact coz one of the guy bought the diagnostic tool from a different source but it did not work when I used it on my laptop. They managed to solve the problem when I told them about the link between pin 7 & 8. (see anaksarawak posting)

In addition, there are hidden charges involves for each supplier. The hidden charges are the freight charges. The freight charges varies depend on which company is used. Even the prices quoted varies among UPS, DHL, EMS etc etc. Also another hidden charges incurred is the 3% charges by paypal for the transaction.

The last I check from my previous source, the price have even reduced. It used to be around USD60 + USD10 (freight) per piece

To be honest, I did make some "extra" from the GB. This was because of the "saving" in the freight charges due to the higher than expected response. and yes, there were some people in the club hinted that I make a big "bundle" from the GB. This is one of the reason why I never organize another GB after the incident. FYI, I have donate the proceed to one of the club charity drive as an anonymous donor..

Item came up up to about RM200 each with normal delivery (additional charges apply for expedited shipping). Yes, there may be other sites selling much cheaper but at least I have a peace of mind that cable is working perfectly without any hitch unlike the bad experience I had with cheaper ones.

There are plenty of items on sale at the moment which can be obtained from other sources at much cheaper rates that what some OMs are offering, can those be referred as a case where OMs are trying to reap a profit from their sales? Can those postings be moderated and scrutinised in the same way?

Whatever it is, I have decided to stop the sales. I honestly do not think the Club's sales section is a good avenue for conducting sales if wild accusations are allowed and can be made by the CM/moderators without any proof, even though the main objective is to protect the all CG/OM's interest. I have nothing against that but a more thorough investigation or discussion should be made first, prior to such accusations in the public.

Your 1st post stated selling price of RM220.00.

In your subsequent post, you are going to order another 3 units. I have checked the price and the unit price is listed as USD 27.00 per unit + USD 15.16 (shipping cost for 1 unit). So total is USD 42.16 x 3.2 = RM134.91.

When you order qty 3 units, the shipping price is USD 23.55 + USD 81.00 (qty 3 units) = USD 104.55 x 3.2 = RM 334.56 divide by 3 = RM 111.52 per unit.

Please correct me if I am wrong as I find it rather diificult to accept that you are selling the unit @ RM220.00 whereas the actual cost is only RM111.52.

Herbert I agree with you. Why is this so expensive? I mean this is happening too often kan? You see my 1 year old E90 325 only valued at RM175k by BMW Premium Selection but I see so many other cars being sold at high prices. Can you also look into that? This should really be policed by you. Its great that you are here to ensure that prices are fair. Do something about the rest also ok. You best check what is the fair value for those car.

Next is to ensure that all sellers provide products of quality. This is a must la. BMWCOM Forum is the only official club so it represents the epitomy of quality that comes with joy of ownership!

As a forumer, one should not go and meddle with another in such a manner. It's plain RUDE. How would you feel if I started going around questioning every sale? Maybe I go to some car sale thread and say this is too expensive ... The proper price should be XXX because of this and that. To make things worse, I am not even keen to purchase it.

Is this the manner we behave in a forum? Is this how we even behave in real life? Try go to Penang during CNY and visit the Lorong Selamat char koay teow that sells for RM15 per plate and do the same. See what happens.

Its not an easy to be a moderator for such popular forum moreover they are just volunteers in the interest of the brand. Bravo to all the moderators but there are many "sensitive fella" here hence mesti jaga air muka.

I believe many are willing to pay RM220 since wingzee offer to help with the installation of INPA and GT1 plus personal tutorial on how to use them. When I first purchased my INPA cable I almost gave up, its not easy and especially with NCS Expert, plus you never know what you can do to your car. 3 sleepless nights and 2 weekends just to learn how to use INPA and to install GT1, time is precious and I dont mind paying someone to help and to teach me. Bravo to bro aidilj who have helped me understand the software sad he is in Penang and we only communicate via the forum or whatsapp.

Guys if you think the price is expensive you are welcome to negotiate, we all do. Or you are welcome to pm any of us who are using INPA onwhere we source our cable how much we got them for.
