skinhead, all the schematics that I have are already posted. Let me sketch something for the radio connector harness connection. This would be specific to the power supply that I'm using. Post any question that you have..

ok here you go, schematic for the wiring harness which is relatively simple.

I have the ACC override switch so that when the car is sent for wash/service the computer wont turn on or off repeatedly. The monitor is permanently powered but will go into standby when there is no signal from VGA. The amplifier is just like other aftermarket amplifier, permanently powered but brought up or down through remote terminal provided by M3-ATX. Ibus interpreter is always ON.

Have fun!

Have a few mini-ITX motherboard lying around, tempting to start a project. Just don't think I will have the time and energy to pull it off.

They are small form factor machines which has faulty power supply, CPU, RAM (need upgrade) included. Why do you ask ?

I didn't try it without the amp but I expect it to be very weak, the amplifier inside the cpu is meant for headphones or connected to an amplifier. It wont be able to drive the car speakers directly with acceptable result.

I'm able to control the volume and skip tracks through the IBUS interface but the software that interprets the signal into keypresses is not so stable. Still looking around, probably going for ibuscomm.

so wut u use for fm reception ?can u recommend something for fm and tv reception ?:top:

A small labor-day break update. The CPU was moved out from the glovebox to the passenger footwell area, as me and the dad doesn't like the idea of losing the convenience of the glovebox. So welcome back glovebox and goodbye passenger legroom. This is also good for CPU cooling. It is held by some expensive velcro straps from the local ACE hardware outlet.

Also bought subwoofer and amp to supplement the lows which has been bugging me for awhile. Just need to install them.. :hmmmm2: I'm bumping the progress to 90% as the remaining to do stuff are..

1. Good bluetooth USB dongle as the one bought for rm10 only work for 2 days
2. Find and install mic for phone integration
3. Reset button

Cheers
