Dear Sifus (aidilj jarance and IanDaddy), i just got my INPA/Ediabas (OBDII) USB Interface last 2 days from ebay for my e60 M54 and my questions is will this fully work with Win7 32bit OS? i have intsalled the software according to steps given but i couldn't get live data from it, only able to read and clean errors. in page 1 i got Battery:ON and Ignition:ON. what could be possibility gone wrong? the last time i met up with jarance during tt in Sunway, im able to view live data using jarance's USB cable (same type of cable) on my e46 m43 but couldn't remember was it Win7 or WinXP that on jarance lappy. Will try again later using old lappy with WinXP OS... in the mean time if any sifus here got advise or tips, please share with me. tq in advance.

My laptop is Win7/64bits/Home Edition. The DVD (setup disk) provided by the manufacturer is not suitable for my laptop OS.
I have to download the hacked version (Ediabas 6.4.7 and INPA 5.02) from bimmerforum as indicated by aidil on page 1 for Win7 version.
(Note INPA will work but NCSExpert and other will not work)

The INPA/EDiaBAS should worked well with WinXP/32 bits or older OS.

Please take note that the NCSExpert is designed for 16 bits computer. it will not work with a 64bits computer.

thanks jarance for the explanation, i guess the dvd provided is not compatible with Win7 32bit and i've tried to download hacked version from 4shared.com as indicated by aidilj but somehow i couldn't get it download. jerence, is there any other way or other site that i can download hacked version for free?

Here is what you have to do.

1. Download from the folder for either
a. Ediabas 6.4.3 and Inpa 4.4.7 for Windows XP and Windows 7
b, Ediabas 6.4.7 and Inpa 5.02 for Windows XP and Windows 7(64bit)

I prefer to use to use b.

2. Download a program that allow you to mount virtual DVD in your computer. I use "magicdisc' they use "daemon". either one will work.

3. Install magicdisk and mounted the iso file after you have download 6.4.7 & INPA 5.02.

4. to be continue later.

finally manage to download the hacked version from 4shared, thanks jarance!!!

The file uploaded are image file. They cannot be use as is it. You have to use a program call magicdisc to mount the image file. The MagicDisk will create a virtual drive for you. Just like a DVD drive.

Try this free shareware

TeD, I'm using a different interface, the interface that you bought is the same as Jarance's so follow Jarance's instructions and you'll be golden. If the interface can read and clear error it should also be able to read live data.

yeah aidilj, exactly the same as jarance interface... now in the process of getting it done by following jarance instructions. thanks, really appreciate it!!!

0. Set the path to c:\ediabas\
1. Goto folder "Installation Program" and invoke "setupexe".
2. The goto Folder "referenze" and install "Instprog.exe".
3. Configure your USB driver.

I am doing this from memory so maybe be wrong. Let me check later for the procedure. I think there is a link where the setup
procedure is given.

So have to go. I have taken some screen shot when I setup in another old laptop. Will compile and upload it later.
Stay tuned... bye.
Other people help while I am away..

yupvaidilj, INPA not GT1

The general guideline is install the driver for the interface first. Then in INPA installation try checking and unchecking the USB adaptor/virtual serial option and see which one works best.
