Halogen to Xenon upgrade, Quad projector, FX-R retrofit

Is it my eyes or the alignment of the projectors seems odd? The inner [left side as seen in this pic] projector seems to point slightly downward...

Would love to do this for my ride!

Bro BC, it's not your eyes. The inner rings are not fully visible, I'm supposed to fix it but didn't. This has been one of the to do item..

Yes there is update, here's a preview

Yes since we will be removing and replacing bulbs so the bulb check may not be valid anymore. Without this there could be bulb error on the dash.

A little update

The outer projector is now powered when parking light is engaged.

All come from ebay

Headlights removed

Removal is required here since the halogen bulbs were glued onto the projector last time

Work area

Halogen bulb removed and D2S installed

Testing it out

Aligned and done

Bro, care to share photos showing the light throw and pattern? Am on the stock xenon projectors with stock 4300k d2s bulbs and still feel ain't bright enough. Not sure if it's due to the alignment or the projector bowl.

hahahaa...i had the exact same problem with yours bro....i was planning to change to some better HID, but have not done it yet....some say dont waste money on new set....they ask me to re-align....

In many cases it was due to burned ZKW projector bowl. Have not checked mine yet as not confident enough to open up the headlamp.

Bro wingzee, do have a look at post #2 of this thread to see the output pattern. But that is not a comparison to E46 projector but the halogen reflector and during that time I'm using 6000k cheap D2S, now with 4300k Philips, see output here http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/foru...-FX-R-retrofit&p=737791&viewfull=1#post737791. Yes the ZKW bowl is likely to burn unlike the AL one.

Let me know if you need guidance to disassemble the headlights

One more thing i notice, my projector lens was smaller than most of xenon projector headlamp outside there.
I bought it from some of the forum-er few years back. Do BMW have a few size/type of projector headlamp?
