Care to upload pics? Anyway, I would recommend to replace the tyre when bulge appears for the sake of safety knowing the Malaysia's road is a piece of crap.

From my past experience i drove like usual but no more hi speed driving and sudden accelerate. It was smaller than yours and the bulge doesnt compromise the driving. i believe those RFTs can withstand the pressure......until one fine day i hit another pot hole (try to beat amber light) and got another bigger bulge with crack line at the front tyre and torn about 2 inch at the rear. Both was left sides.

Since then i wouldnt dare to accelerate more than 50km/h on any pot holes. Just let the tyre roll over it if i cant swift to the side.

Ya, I have been very careful driving after I read this thread, and today I didn't see the pot hole, drive through it at about 60 km/h I think, a big bang sound and in my heart I was like "sh*t there goes my tyre" and true enough....

Yes, same happen to me. Hit the pothole twice and caused my left front tyre to bulge. Yesterday got it change to pirelli p zero. The old tyre doesn't bulged that much but when it removed from the hub I can see 2 cracked on the inside of the tyre. Very scary. My advise is, when the tyre bulge just change it as fast as you can.

The 'bang!' sound was so loud. It was like something hit the tyre with brutal force.. Strange that my rear tyre ripped by the pot holes.. Not even 1 inch deep... The workshop guy said that i must be driving hi speed by viewing the damage but the rim was not damaged somewhat. Very puzzling.... the Bang sound is very haunting...!!!

Any tyre esp. Low profile and now using rft they more liable to side wall damage. Once bulging best change ASAP for safety. Tyre.integrity compromised. Can break much easier thereafter.

No point lamenting our grouses here. We do what we need to do when the time comes.

Not so much JOY now driving my F30. Phobia when I see potholes. Lately, I find that there are more and more small holes surfacing on our roads. It's only a matter of time for the holes to get bigger.

Melaka seem to have better roads than Selangor. I mention this to a local agency guy, and he answered :" Try digging Melaka roads, and see what u get "

will definitely change to other brand...for now will wait until really need replacement due to expiry or this benjol happen again...

The engineers who design the GY RFT must be thinking all the roads in the world are similar to that in Germany...... I am sure they have not driven in Malaysia road before.

State government strict guidelines

We also have very strict guidelines in Klang Valley but due to poor implementation and enforcement, our roads in Klang Valley is of poor quality and sub standard.

Guys - my 6K GY RFT also recently developed a bulge. GY engineers say there is a scracth mark.....you cant even see it unless you take a picture and blow it up and then you see some surface scratches that are so minute, it looks like an ant bite. My question is how can a small scratch develop a bulge and torn the internal walss (Engineer thinks internal cord is damage). My rims are perfect, the tires look perfect without visible nasty scratches. I do not remember driving fast thru pot-holes, do not drive fast, do not carry heavy load.

Given all the previous complaints, it looks like the GY RFT is really a piece of crap that cannot withstand normal driving wear and tear thru Malaysian roads. Should we all complain to BMW and Good Year regarding this unreliable tyres? I do hear anyone complaining about other brands or is there?
