Just changed 4 pcs PSS size 245x40x18 at rm1350/pc.

The ride is quite good & it is claimed to be able to achieve higher mileage compare to PS2.

CSC5 not available for 17". I wanted that too but was told by dealer tada itu saiz. 225/45/17 for that price is good. I just got CSC3 235/45/17 for RM 820 last week. 1cm wider cost so much more meh..

There's 2 types of CSC 5:

Continental Sports Contact 5
Continental Sports Contact 5P (notice the "P" as it denotes "performance")

The normal CSC5 is available from 17" and above:

I haven't I've had a few Yokohama's and Michelin before this and the only Goodyear I've used so far is the Eagle F1. However it's sad to say that it's the worst tyre I've ever bought and I traded in for a Michelin in less than 1 month, haha. I hear a lot of good things about Asymmetric so maybe I'll try it next time.

I suggest you to check at tyre shops because tyre prices in Malaysia is worse than petrol price, it increases more often and happens few times a year.

Good Year Asymmetric F1 (made frm Germany) RM900 each.

I have used the Goodyear Asymmetric 1 (Germany) same size like yours in 2009,
Tried the Michelin PS3 (Germany) in 2010;
Last week, just replaced with Goodyear Asymmetric 2 (Germany) RM950each

( ps. Michelin PS3 sidewalll is softer than the Asymm 1, hence I like the Asymm 1 over the PS 3, as for Asymm 2, i reserved my comments for now as it's still new)
Both the tyres you mentioned are good tyres though..

My CSC3 Experience

I changed my CSC3 after using RE050A for 2 years - which is my second set.

1. it is definitely a better drive then RE050A due to the softer walls for the CSC3,
2. braking distance especially for dry has improved substantially,
3. quieter on highways - again, dependent on quality of road laying,
4. feel wise it's minimal, maybe because i have active steering,

hi, which shop you get the tires from? does it include balancing and alignment?

i vote for michelin....very precise handling...good in wet too.

i have just changed my csc2 rft to ps3. it cost me RM600 per piece including alignment n balancing. I had to include 4 steel valve (RM10 per piece) and also align the camber (3 axle). altogether its RM2575. the ps3 are made in thailand and its definitely quieter and more comfortable than csc2.
