I only know of BM World a few weeks back. My best friend introduce to to me. He has been going there for years, and he mentioned they don't over charge. Anyway, the mechanic (Ah Wai) is indeed confident, and honest.

I need to change the rear shock absorber and disc pads soon..damn.. I just spent over RM800 on the lower arm bush, rod, ball, the related stuffs...

Jack the car up, move the joints(which are movable)..excessive movements or visible cracks are bushes that are worn.

Zenegar,

I only discovered after they jacked up the car.. :D Anyway, I believe Musclehedz had already answer your query.

When you send your car for repair (at BM World) they would have tell you what are the parts have worn off and need to change. They throughly checked my car the last time I went there. Hence, I discovered the disc pad and absorber need replacement.

i got this pic that I took when I replaced my kaput-ed airconditioner cooling coil, expansion valve.

For your reference only. This is for the E36. Some fabric on the top right corner is the worn out dashboard sponge.

Why did you change the lifters? making noise?

Those are the hydraulic lifters and yes they are expensive . 24pcs work out to somewhat close to 2k plus .

Some are lucky that change of oil grade may be able to cure the sound . In some cases it doest work, The pressure in these lifter will deteriorate .

Mine started giving noise sbt year and a half ago. Changed oil grade it went off.

Recently it started coming back again . Once in a while during cold-start. But i am due for oil change . Lets see what happens after that .

cheers :D
