Just did this repair after the brake and steering judder when brake is applied.

Parts cost
1. control arm bush - 2 nos. - RM194
2. Front brake disc - 2 nos - RM360
3. Front brake pad - 1 set - RM210
4. Disc Bolt - 2 nos - RM RM14
5. Brake Sensor - 1 no - RM40.

Labour
1. Replace L/H & R/H Control Arm Bush - RM45
2. Replace Front Brake Disc & Pad - RM40

Others
1. Fuel Filter - RM60
2. Hose clip - 2 nos - RM8
3. Labour for replacing filter RM25.

ouch RM1000+

have to makan roti for a month.. :cry: :cry:

Result:
Steering no longer judder when brake is applied.
No more sound when brake is applied.
Alignment slight off. Need to send for alighment

For your info, I have changed the control arm two time at others farked up tires shop. Last about 6 months each time. Hope this time, the repair work will last longer. (Seem to be based on the procedure that my regular workshop did the work. Proper extraction tool instead of using hammer)

I know how it feels Jarance. After going through my maintenance list, I found out that RM3k+ is for the repair of my aircon....damn.

And I hope my next E34 would not be that bad because I am taking my time getting one good specimen.

Last month did the steering rack overhaul as it had a little roughness when you begin to turn the steering wheel at very low speed. Also did the suspension maintenance front & rear.

Overhaul power steering rack- RM650

Front Suspension:
2pcs lower arm ball joint- RM196
2pcs lower arm bush- RM194
2pcs absorber mounting- 194
2pcs upper spring pad- RM76
2pcs lower spring pad- RM56

Rear Suspension:

those knock sensor are cheap, where did you get them from.....

Cooling coil (copper) - RM390
Receiver/dryer - RM190
Expansion valve - RM139
Blower sponge/dashboard sponge - RM160
R134a gas - RM40
O-ring - RM15
Labor (aiyo.. gotta bring down dashboard) - RM350

Total = RM1,275. Did it at Naidu. Total fixing time: approx 5 hours.

No more squeaks from the dash. Aircond is so coooooold. Brrrrr.

4. front and rear brake hose.. standard or those performance hose? ie. pro-rs
5. brake fluid.. Just refill or complete flush? How many ltr? .5L cost about RM60 from BA parts..
6. Carbon Container Filter - what's this?
