Helo bro,.. i have a problem regarding to my e36 318i 1996,.. manual.. the sound of my engine is some time " krakkakkakkak" and i was thinking taht it is just an ajustment of valve.. then when i send it to the workshop,.. the mechanics told me that it need the replacement on the 8 pcs of valve... and it cost RM 90 /pcs.. so my question is,.. did u facing the problam with your e36?

Bro, fell much better after 72 items changed but still not satisfy yet especially the wind noise when speed over 110km/h and some minor things (the HID is too bright n too high, rear door noise) to be sorted by myself when i have time for DIY. However, it is much better now to drive and to feel the power of 328i.

Fyi, i bought the Emblems from ebay.. the price on ebay sometime is really cheap, but not always depend on luck also.
Mileage? it shows me 95k but i dont believe it. I guess the car dealer has done something on the ODO meter. G/Box, according to my Mech, it seems that it was replaced before. Hopefully it is healthy now.

The wind noise is due to worn off weather strips and door/cabin rubber linings. However, I was told even after changing them, there is no guarantee to eliminate the noise as it could boil down to alignment of doors and door frame windows. I have the same problem and it is pretty annoying.

:top: True but usually my music goes louder when I drive slow coz when rempit prefer to enjoy the sweet note of my engine and in case of any mechanical failure might give me time to react and maneuver.

is your left fender inner liner new? seems like a common problem. Mine is broken at certain screw points, thus causing the ext temperature probe to be disconnected and sometimes the brake air-duct to come out..
