Hi to all bros here,

I have a couple of repairs that needs to be carried out. Would appreciate anyone here to give me some addresses of recommended workshops to go to. I am from Singapore but stationed here so am not very familiar with the workshops here though.

Would appreciate any help from you guys here.

Sam

bump stop - the rubber (usually red or yellow) placed on the absorber shaft and under the absorber mounting. The bump stop is usually attached to the absorber plastic cover (cylindrical in shape, and in black).

the purpose of the bump stop is to absorb the impact on the absorber mounting when hit directly by the absorber when the suspension maxes out.

AC compressor KO so this is what I spent :-

New AC compressor from Dinan - $500 (checked by Naidu he said it is was indeed new! Thanks for the good bargain, he said even if RM1k also considered cheap for a new one)
Refilling of gas (did twice but still leaking) - $130 (section 223 ac shop)
Replace AC fan motor & workmanship for installing AC compressor + o-ring - $90 (wong motor)

Since it was still leaking, I brought it to Naidu after some good recommendations from fellow bros :-

Change 2 x 2nd hand AC hoses - $240
AC Filter - $190
Refill gas - $60
Workmanship & misc - $170

Total = $1380 ouch!

1. engine oil semi synthetic - RM68.00
2. oil filter ( bmw austria ) - RM32.00

Change gearbox oil and repair :

1. gearbox oil 4L (RM18/L) - RM70.00
2. change gearbox gasket (leaking) - RM30.00

So, how bro, cheap or expensive? because am new in this UDM.

If your Vanos is not working properly, you could have used the vanos repair kit which is about RM 300. Symtoms of Vanos not working properly - you can hear a knocking sound and if you place your finger there you fell it knocking.
