Hahahaha... in seriousness I think e90 can use RON95. To be sure, open fuel tank cap and read what it says on the label...

Stig, mine can go about 230km for rm50 till the warning light turns on with ron95 xtra..mixed driving condition, but i'm a light footer bro..hardly press on full throttle

Bro, the Stig is a heavy footer! But really right now struggling with AFM issues, could be running fuel mix that is richer...

Been tested 2 fulltank of Petronas RON95 extra :top::top::top: more millage, especially highway drive.

Yeah, stig is big heavy footer as in Top gear.. hope you solve your issues soon, yet still managed to score 200km per 50 quid..

OMG, after finished first tank of Xtra 95, I filled up Shell RON95 just want to feel the different. I feel they are so much different... Shell RON 95 needs to be improved.

My E39 still feels the power, but about 10% less mileage compare to Shell VP97. At 30% RM savings, I guess it's OK to go with Petronas 95xtra. Inconvenience is I have to walk in to make AMEX payment every time.
tats de onli thing i dun like...AMEX kena reject at pump..den i use visa

anyway..my experience after 2 tank of primax5 over span over 2 month (travelling ma)..RM68 (circa 35l) will last me around 240++miles..on usual esso/mobil it will onli last me 210+-miles..

amex can use.. but need to pay at the counter :(

Bro, I get to know from a member that not all Petronas stations accept AMEX. We're lucky the one near our place got lah...

Yes, that's correct. Not all Petronas stations accept AMEX.

:listen: so very true bro, infact not all Esso, Shell, Caltex and BHP accept AMEX either, at least not here in Kuantan

It was good on mine too - BUT i was told by my mechanic over the weekend - they have come across a few cases (E90, Cooper, E60) - Cat and Injector problem right after changing it to Petonas 95 -maybe coincidence . I'll leave it as-it-is.

Just went through a full tank of Petronas 95xtra. I must say I am really disappointed. For 68 litres, I only got 470km which is 6.9km/ltr. As for performance, my car felt heavy and sluggish. With Shell Vpower97, I have been consistently clocking 500-515km for 68 litres which works out to 7.5km/ltr, with excellent performance. So if I were to put driving enjoyment over everything else, I would just stick to VPower.

:listen: when make comparison, apple with apple bro ... ... 95 n 97 is a big gap and even 1 ron IS a big difference (so is the price ).....

u dunno...now my car felf like clogged filter...choking at times (bad exp with petronas diesel few years back..immediately see effect on de diesel filter which was 3 days new)

Currently on my 5th tank of Xtra, and also got my Mesra card last weekend.

Pickup feels superb especially at low speeds.

Maybe also partly caused by the engine tuning done a couple of Fridays ago by Master Kevster. :p

But yes, I think I'll stick with Petronas for the foreseeable future.

Today around 1pm, my car stalled after 'warming up' for about 5 minutes, can start but press accelerator will not go but go dead instead.

Fuel level low but indicates still can drive at least 27km - 50km.

Exterior temperature was very hot, exterior temp. registers around 39C. But car was doing fine past few days even above 43C exterior temp.

Never encountered this kind of situation before. Not sure if it's related to high-heat. But it so happens that I'm using Xtra95 now.

Previously car was still able to run even after 0km range registered in MID.

Any advise?

PS: Add 5l of BHP and car runs as normal till now.

bro..a few years back, all diesel in M'sia are not of the required std, period. If your filter is badly effected only after 3 days, something must be wrong and culprit is definitly not the diesel bro ... :hmmmm: ... if tht being the case, it would be out in the news already

Since Euro 2 was introduced, there are marked difference. I hv been on diesel for many years and all I can say, a bit more time than the regular maintenence schedule will keep our ride in good running condition ..... :top:
