1) Officially as a committee member on behalf of the MC

2) As an Official Member

3) Or just curious

Dear Mr Lamoo, i'm just curious what this is all about and i really don't know why you seem to have taken offence to my earlier question which was merely to seek clarification. Why make life so complicated? Its a very straightforward question. what difference does it make in what capacity i'm asking?

i really don't see any relation to the earlier question i asked or how this resolves the issue by asking a question to a question?. all i'm asking is if you have any idea what En. Mizhan was refering, as the club is ...

A) not lacking in monthly drives, and...
B) it has always been organised by a committee member. all committee members are
to take the lead (volunteer) and organised and take charge some club activities,eg:
i've volunteered to co-organise the upcoming annual dinner. every comm member
has to contribute something in the interest of the club.

As you thanked En. Mizhan for his useful post you seem to to be the next best party to clarify other than En. Mizhan himself where I had hope to clear matters (if any) in the best of my ability in the interest of the club and from your latest response, you seem to know what this is all about...

i'm just wondering if we should have bi-monthly or even weekly drives since we have so many eager drivers in our club.

sorry if i find your question to my question rather awkward. i really think that was rather uncalled for and shows your insincerity in helping to clear what this whole matter is all about. great to hear from you again. hope this clarifies.

thinking again, since you are so uptight about protocals.ie. refering to your question what capacity i was asking earlier, i choose not to address this issue any further. instead, should there be any real grieviences, please write an official complaint regarding the monthly drives to the MC in your capacity as an official member. only official complaints will be addressed. comments in the forum or via PM will not be taken in as official complaints. the official complaint must be accompanied by positive suggestions how to improve the matter in hand so as to limit or avoid any frivalous complaints and to ascertain that the matter was seriously thought of by the complainant and that there really is a serious issue requiring immediate attention, before submitting a formal complaint.

any official complaints lacking any of the above conditions will not be entertained.

Bro, during the last year, most of the drive are orgynise by redbaron lah. He have done a good job despite his short coming. Let give credit when or where it is due.

Drives can be orgynised by anybody. if it is fun or interesting, I am sure sure many of us would join.

Mihzan, pay no attention to clementa.. he is having his withdrawal symptom.. (Not having enough cold one that cause his blood to thicken). However, please do join the drive and enjoy ourselves. Most of us know how to behave on the road..

BTW, clem, no need to be so uptight about people comment. It only a suggestion. pls be nice to our official members.. or else I dont luv you any more... :love:

I agree with your comments; RB deserves most of the credit if not all for organizing the club drives. But let's all move forward; my intention was simply to do start the hype & then help out in organizing a drive. As you have mentioned, we can all contribute towards this initiative... it's not rocket science la:wink:

Sorry for not replying earlier as I was away taking part in a bike tour in the Alps for 4 days.

To me this issue is just a small matter.

This club has more than enough monthly drives. Anything more, it will be called Weekly Drives. I would like to more feedback from the members if they prefer to have short drives or longer drives to some local holiday destination?

Personally I prefer the latter, as we could take the B roads , which allows some of us here that have not driven on these roads in their driving career and hence not knowing the little towns that have a place in history.

As for redtape, I don't know why it is mentioned, the last trip to Singapore didn't cost the club much money except for the stickers and some flags. Walkie talkies were loaned free of charge from BMW Msia.

So, more constructive feedback would be useful and looking forward to hear from all of you.

I would like to propose a "3 Days 2 Nights" drive TO "Kuantan via Kuala Pilah route"....

Monthly weekend Drives is a fun thing to do..let's continue this tradition with max fun and activity. Try coastal and rural routes so that we can enjoy the scenery and food.Come on guys, give your best suggestions and lets make this happen.!

- Port Dickson picnic - day trip.
- Fraser's Hill - 1 night
- Melaka town drive - day trip
- Ulu Yam drive - day trip
- Genting drive - day trip

Ulu yam would be great..can bathe at the waterfall...but have to watch out for theives who try to break in the car and steal things..my bro kena!~

1- Ulu Yam - Gohtong Jaya. And TT at GohTong Jaya or at the old cable car station There's a mamak there and with good parking.
2- Kuala Klawang. More spirited than ulu yam.

b. Leisure / picinic drive:
1- Ulu Yam - Gohtong Jaya - Berjaya Resort rabbit farm
2- Ulu Yam - Gohtong Jaya - Bentong (homemade ice cream fest)
3- Ulu Yam - Ulu Tamu hot Spring (to soak leggies) extreme low cars beware.

Thanks. I driven there twice. All the way Gombak / Genting then head to Bentong town. After that somewhere have to turn left to Kampung road. After the kampung road, the road is a bit narrow after that. Spectacular view of the fall during wet season. Can celup celup and there is picnic area or can get covered area with the table or chairs if we are early. Anyone with GPS can post the map ?

All very nice, apart from the Bentong ice cream.. it is overrated la, parking & seating is always a big problem.

We have done that drive before, and had ice cream in bentong as well

The drive back via the narrow road leading to Genting Sempah was fun, so much fun that we missed the waterfall!!!!
