Suhaimi,

The club has OFFICIALLY organized a charity drive to Klang on the 2nd. As an official member, you should know better that to post invitation for drives which coincides with the clubs official drive. If you want to go, Its your prerogative, but I advice you to do so discreetly. Since you have breached the clubs obvious protocol, I'm deleting your post.Look me up if you need further clarification.!

Big bro rubberman, I have to correct you here. Noted that your thread was opened on the 21st of July but his invite was already posted on the 19th of July. This is due to a simple misunderstanding, don't think the members had prior information on the plans for our charity drive. Anyway, it's better for someone like me to inform you than the perpetrator himself.

My intention here is just to note & clarify, no need to prolong this issue. Peace to all:)

wah! climenta you just single handedly stopped www4...you deserve to get 'Datuk' man...people score 2 goal also can be 'Datuk' ...why not you..

in light of what clementa revealed, it would seem certain phrases of the above require some toning-down.

ya laaa.. we dont have to be hostile all the time.. there are thousand and one ways to skin a cat. also take into considerations which group.. I dont think group from Seremban, Johor dan kawasan yang sewaktu dengannya can go for utara trip vice versa ( unless it is a national official event which warrants the participation of as many members as possible) .. some go here , some go there , whichever convenient la kan... I also didn't know there is a 2nd Aug drive...How come? I ll gladly come.. maybe if there is a big IMPORTANT event drive, committee could put a banner... not all of us have the time to scroll through every thread..like other forums I am subscribe to , when there is an event monthly or not, there is a banner to inform and remind... Maybe bro Suhaimi was caught unawares.. (Please PARDON my ignorance too if I DO NOT KNOW where to look for monthly drives or unaware of such arrangements. ) I am sure newbies would profit most from banners.. it could be I just joined today and the drive is tomorrow and with the help of the banner I cant miss it..

Just my 2 cents.. no offence intended...

My sincere apologies, I should have sent John a pm instead of posting my comments here. Let's not drag this further, I'm sure John has his reasons for advising Suhaimi in such a manner. I can personally vouch for our PR man of the club, not someone hostile by nature:top:

Rileks la kekawan, go grab yourselves a chilled beer or a nice mocktail & enjoy the more important things in life:)

The Managing Committee has already decided the monthly drive for August will be to Singapore.

Details will be posted next week once we receive confirmation from Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Grand Prix organisers.

AS for Buka Puasa, we will do one in Tropicana. Dates will be announced later.

Cheers

Drive to HRC would be cool. Plan to go there early Dec. My unc is the group regional director for the hotel group ... hehehe

drives organized need not be elaborate. simple, safe and fun are the only necessary ingredients. it is my personal opinion that frequent drives is one of the few things that would keep this club alive and attractive to members new and old.

my favourite qualifier: 'shoot me down if you wish..' but i appeal to the managing committee to pair up, and take turrns organising monthly drives. simple drives. no sponsors, no events, no charity, no ribbons & stickers. just a bunch of BMW enthusiasts having clean harmless fun. note: there should be no expectation on any pair of committe members on how elaborate their particular monthly drives are. the point is merely to have a monthly club-sanctioned road-trip.

being held frequently, the number of participants will be manageable to only a pair of committee members on each occasion. of course, ordinary members will help ensure drives are safe.

for the sake of keeping the club active and attractive, simple monthly drives are far more effective than mega-events held every half-year or even quarterly. we want to congregate (and do so frequently), we want to share, we want to participate, we want to enjoy ourselves with fellow enthusiasts. this i believe is one of the best ways to converge the many BMW-related clubs and all their splinter groups.

screw red-tape, be damned with unnecessary spendings on window dressings, and most importantly, to hell with politics.
