Monthly Weekend Drive 19-20 June 2010: Penang

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, mats and minahs rempit... here's the planned route for the KL-Penang portion:

Meeting Point: Sungai Buloh overhead restaurant rest area (Northbound) - meet at the parking lot
Meeting Time: 0730 - for breakfast & convoy briefing
Departure time: 0830 sharp

The Route:
Meeting Point to Tanjung Malim - NSE (exit at Tanjung Malim)
Tanjung Malim to Simpang Pulai - Route 1 (the trunk road)
Simpang Pulai to Kuala Kangsar - NSE (exit after Kuala Kangsar town) - anyone familiar with area please identify this exit
Kuala Kangsar to Taiping - Route 1 (the trunk road)
Taiping to Penang - NSE/Penang Bridge

Lunch - Location TBC

Reminder: please bring your walkies

And last but not least.. have a safe and enjoyable drive!

Suggest to re-group after reaching Penang Island.......Caltex Station near to Tescos. Traffic is da pitts in da Island on weekends.

As of now, registration for the treasure hunt is closed as they are gathering the details as each pax entering the treasure hunt will be receiving goodies such as T shirts , caps etc. Actually,doing the calculations u are just paying for the buffet lunch which is RM51.75 per person. Is there anyone who'd like to just join the buffet lunch?

Dear Proud owners,

Although I have to spent my weekend taking my dad to Genting, I would like to give A WORD OF ADVISe as I'm a seasoned rempit there... for your penang drive.... If you guys ever drive in the Ferringi road please becareful...the mat rempits there are sweeping corners like the dont wanna see tomorrow... Almost cause me to drive my 36 into the sea to avoid hitting those idiots....

Herbert.......I am having a light one in SS14 kopi tiam......so far that place serves the best Penang Prawn mee in town........

BTW.......u missed out the fresh baked pastries during the Cameron drive..........but stay tuned for other drives........there might be more.........
