PD also okay. Short drive with good straight road after the toll:top:

Use Sepang Way better- KLIA to Sepang - Sepang to Lukut then to PD..

but Lukut to PD boring- too many traffic lights

What about we drive from KL -> Sepang -> Bagan Lalang for picnic -> PD -> KL?

Bagan Lalang beach is dirty, but can buy dragon fruits there at a very cheap price. Any other places we can go to? Feedback welcome:)

Road is Bagan Lalang is quite bumpy for hard suspension :(
How long should the drive be?
KL PD = about 50minutes from Seremban
So should be done in like 3 or 4 hours?

drives organized need not be elaborate. simple, safe and fun are the only necessary ingredients. it is my personal opinion that frequent drives is one of the few things that would keep this club alive and attractive to members new and old.

Aren't we having drives once a month? If that not enough, then we'd might need to have a couple more monthly drives. But then again, you don't join any of the drives:cool:

for the sake of keeping the club active and attractive, simple monthly drives are far more effective than mega-events held every half-year or even quarterly. we want to congregate (and do so frequently), we want to share, we want to participate, we want to enjoy ourselves with fellow enthusiasts. this i believe is one of the best ways to converge the many BMW-related clubs and all their splinter groups.

From what I remember, the club / members of the club have organized a monthly drive almost every month for at least the better part of the past 2 years. I've had a good time driving around with my fellow enthusiasts here, quite sure most of the participants had a lot of fun. Are you representing some other entity in this context when you mentioned 'we’??:22:

Maybe you should also try to come for the next AGM, your views / feedback would certainly be valuable to the committee:rolleyes:

My reply to you wasn't meant to be a low blow, you must have your own reasons for not joining BCM's drives. It would be nice if you could come join us on one of the drives & then comment on the shortcomings.

Anyway, I'm part of this bunch of buggers in BCM who are not really bothered about the shortcomings; short of committee, short of participants, short of sponsorship, etc. Instead I'm part of the thankful bunch... thankful that we're able to meet up & do something we enjoy doing. Anything extra would be a treasured gift:)

Join us if you can for the upcoming drive, whenever it is & we'll then have a cuppa to discuss all your grievances. Till then, drive safe & have a blessed Selamat Hari Raya:wink:

Oct end ? in conjunction with Halloween ? :top: Drive up as Setans and the best part for you is that you wont need a costume for that. :p

Podda poo. We can all go as part of the Addams family, I''ll let you be the family pet:thefinger:

How bout a ulu yam drive??? you can drive slowly and enjoy the view or drive spiritedly to enjoy the challenging corners :D

For those who make all kinda demands and set rules on how and what a drive should be, all I wana say to you is just come for the drive!! I have been on many drives in this club, and there were no big time organizing involved. It was a fun drive, so what you guys wana complain about? Long drive or short drives have been done before. The longest drive was to Thailand, Penang, Terengganu and recently to Singapore. Others were just short day trips.

So stop complaining and whining and come for the drive if you want to.

Bro, during the last year, most of the drive are orgynise by redbaron lah. He have done a good job despite his short coming. Let give credit when or where it is due.

Drives can be orgynised by anybody. if it is fun or interesting, I am sure sure many of us would join.

Mihzan, pay no attention to clementa.. he is having his withdrawal symptom.. (Not having enough cold one that cause his blood to thicken). However, please do join the drive and enjoy ourselves. Most of us know how to behave on the road..

BTW, clem, no need to be so uptight about people comment. It only a suggestion. pls be nice to our official members.. or else I dont luv you any more...

my favourite qualifier: 'shoot me down if you wish..' but i appeal to the managing committee to pair up, and take turrns organising monthly drives. simple drives. no sponsors, no events, no charity, no ribbons & stickers. just a bunch of BMW enthusiasts having clean harmless fun. note: there should be no expectation on any pair of committe members on how elaborate their particular monthly drives are. the point is merely to have a monthly club-sanctioned road-trip.

being held frequently, the number of participants will be manageable to only a pair of committee members on each occasion. of course, ordinary members will help ensure drives are safe.

for the sake of keeping the club active and attractive, simple monthly drives are far more effective than mega-events held every half-year or even quarterly. we want to congregate (and do so frequently), we want to share, we want to participate, we want to enjoy ourselves with fellow enthusiasts. this i believe is one of the best ways to converge the many BMW-related clubs and all their splinter groups.

screw red-tape, be damned with unnecessary spendings on window dressings, and most importantly, to hell with politics.

dear mizhan,

the monthly drives are an important club activity for old and new members and also forumers and anyone interested to join for that matter. as far as i know there has always been monthly drives organized by committee members with the participation also from some committee members minus the frills and ribbons and it has always been clean harmless fun. i've never known any drives that were other than that. drives were always a family outing activity ...

however, from your posting above , the club seems to be lacking of monthly drives which according to you is better to have rather than mega events.

(kindly advise any period of time where there were no monthly drives for the past 1 year)

further to the above, from your reasoning above, you seem to be representing a group of people who are of the opinion there are not enough monthly drives where in your own words i quote.."want to congregate (and do so frequently), we want to share, we want to participate, we want to enjoy ourselves with fellow enthusiasts."

as i shared earlier, the drives are OPEN to all parties who want to congregate... share..who want to participate..who want to enjoy themselves with fellow enthusiast....so were there any parties that were told that they could not join any of the drives?

just to share bro, bundy is very concerned about the monthly drives. to those who were not aware we had some problems with the recent singapore drive, where bundy was told at the very last minute that motorsport channel (organisers) could not get approval from SGP for the F1 track test drive, something committed earlier by motorsport channel but bundy said to go ahead with the drive even without the F1 track test drive with support from the committee on a show of votes. the committee almost cancelled the drive thinking members would be disappointed and pullout without the F1 track drive. end of the day everyone enjoyed the drive. end of the day the club president and the committee is concerned about the monthly drive activity so there is no need to appeal to have monthly drives.

not here to shoot anyone down, bro, but would appreciate if your comments are supported with facts and more information ( i hope this is fair comment) so that the committee can address the matter so that everyone can congregate...so that everyone can share..so that everyone can participate and enjoy themselves but if the drives are an "open to all parties" activity which is organized every month, help me to see your point of view where only those who know you knows why...

please also elaborate what is meant by unnecessary spending on window dressings...

do you have any idea, mr lamoo, since you thanked Mizhan where he shared "anyone who knows me knows why"...?

adoi...u guys, so difficult ar to decide on a drive? need to write very lengthy reply for that matter...i think becoz we all drive BMW, must be very pandai at arguing things

i've not joined any of BCM drives, but I certainly did a lot on my own whenever I want to....just blast some SMSes to your closest hardcore driver kakis, and off you go la. After a while, u will have a pattern already...some are really rempiters, some just drives leisurely for other motives e.g. makan, sightseeing etc, some groups bring nice eye candies bla bla bla, so u tend to choose who u want to go drive with, based on your preference

some of them are in this forum also...only not active, but when u sms them for a drive...they'd be the 1st one to arrive at meet up points, 7am on sunday summore!!!

Selamat Hari Raya & Maaf Zahir Batin!

My God, even on the issue of montly drives, disputes and spats are starting to grow. Side swiping and T-boning here and there. Junk-yard wars!

What's the real issue? It always turns bad when it gets personal or sensitivity and presumtions are not kept on check. Give the benefit of doubt to your peers.

Why is some so edgy? Join if you have the free time and the destination is to your liking. Nobody will leave you behind or prevent you from going. Don't maddle in the topic if you are not building on the topic.

I think the point is some members are interested to have maybe 1 or 2 more drives before the end of the year but there's nobody to lead the initiative. Don't panic. For the moment, keep brainstorming, I m sure something more constructive can be planned out based on the feedbacks and somebody will champion the agenda at the end.

It's pointless to address issues like who's responsible, who's going, who's not, who goes to how many drives?, who drives the fastest?, slow snails, etc etc when there's no real agenda. Leave it at free will. Peace y'all.

Mr. Hellraiser,

Before I give you the reason could you clarify the following:

Are you asking

1) Officially as a committee member on behalf of the MC

2) As an Official Member

3) Or just curious

If you let me know which of the above then I will know how to word my answer to you.

Thanking you
