Learning to use an E90

Juan, confirm u wan don't the welcome light and DRL meh? Have u tested urs? Have u tried the steps I put up?

Scroll into your "Kunci" menu. Enter and u will see a list of option:

Order is not correct and list may not be complete.. this is what I remember..
1. P: This is your "Parking" welcome light. I set 90 sec
2. Door: This is ur 1st remote unlock press, option to unlock all doors or only driver door. I put Driver door only on 1st press.
3. Lock: Do u require turn signal when lock car. I put "Yes"
4. Unlock: Do u require turn signal when unlock car. I put "No"
5. Sun: This is what we are discussing now. The sun indicate daylight. So u want to light or off. "Off" means no DRL lor.

Astroboy, mine got and nicely set up already. It was in fact in my specs sheet listed as Extended Lights Package but during a comparo with E46F's CBU 325i and Energy's S'pore reg-ed 323i Highline, it appeared that E46F's car dun haff. So, I'm just wondering if it's just the setting cos not everyone, including myself have read the manual cover-to-cover, heh!

The leather key pouch for the E90 is nice but please make sure you get the one for E90 if you're driving an E90. The E90's one is squarish and is going for RM49.99. Also, if you need to get it from AB, stocks are quite limited. Last I checked AB Glenmarie had a few but AB Segambut don't have. If the latter say they got one set, it's mine cos I ordered it but haven't collected!

Even my Avanza key also comes with a leather Toyota key holder.. :stupid:

Its not that I can't afford the RM60 (RM300 membership maybe la.. ) but really, it should come along with the >RM200k car. The ballpoint pen also is pathetic la. Either they sell it RM80 or give it for free la... The ink also would dry up la.. these are suppose to be premium items to be given out for free like calender la. Toyota is giving out calender lio... must go and collect when I send my MPV in for service end of this month.

So E90/E60/E87 leather key pouch is different meh... cool! This I must see! So the one posted above is for E36/E46/E39 and below lor and its more expensive than ours ler.. :stupid:

It's confirmed that the leather key pouch is RM 49.99 as JPB mentioned, I've got one from AB and another one from SA.

isnt E60 and E90 got the same key mer? astroboy the photo u taken which got ya key one. just same as mine ... so dun u think the key pouch shd be same la. unless it written E90 or E60 on it

yeah i got the calender from my SA when i collected my car .... then i asked for two. he gave it to me
man wanna find time and go and buy the key leather pouch .... now still dun know what to use to hold my key kekekekkee

I think the key bogel like that is nice what. without the leather case. and these leather case it was BMW treadmark before. and these toyota and others try to follow. I dont use the key so much as the key is always in my pocket all the time. only take it out when Im changing my pants :biggrin: :biggrin: :biggrin:

I can only on and off the DRL from my iDrive. it is mention DRL on or off. and i realize the DRL light is slightly brighter then parking light.

My '07 CKD 320i has got the automatic driving light setup nicely, after 10 sec under the sun, the headlight will switch off. Once under shade, it will turn on. Cool!

Ooo.. Yes !! One more item I left out in the key settings:

~ How u want the door to lock when the car starts moving.. It either by "TIME" or "SPEED" or "both". I set both.. Greedy mah..

my Welcome lights/Parking Lights/DRL settings are in my iDrive

My 2005 CBU does not have DRLs, just automatic headlights. Also when switched to Auto headlight mode, when the engine is cut off, the angle eyes stay on for a few seconds. Also has welcome lights and white LED lights under the door handle (extended lights package). I believe the ones on 2007/2008 cars are improved welcome and extended lights package. Also Auto lights mode enhanced (via firmware) to include auto high beams as well.

Also doesn't have the automatic High Beam headlights which the 2007 models had in our comparo. JPB's and Energy's auto headlamp mode, will automatically turn on high beams when the road is too dark heh. I have to excercise my finger to to this sigh..

I think this is all due to newer firmware upgrades where more menus to control the features which come with the car from the OBC. Energy's 08 iDrive dash console also has a row of programable touch sensitive buttons where u just have to glide your finger on the button to activate it. The pics of 2007 sport models with iDrive didn't have this row of buttons under the DVD slot in the center console.
