Jap Specs Radio Frequency Fix (after 09/2001)

is only logical that watching TV is restricted to pple in the cabin other than the driver.
if we're that @#%#!, we wont be driving a UDM right?

i followed th internet button pressings but to no avail.
they said there is a software for it.

for the tv in motion, i have the software for it, but so does bro zidee. he got the latest pa soft 1.4 that can disable the tv lock. i can do it too but im in kl, so try to pm bro zidee since he has a home in ipoh and frequently go there. you have to meet either of us because the software needed to connect to the car via special cable.

you guys are serious about disable the safety feature of the TV function while in motion.

Just be careful guys. the distraction for a second or two may lead to certain consequence that you might not want.

I have a DD player and my kid is watching some video. I was driving and somehow because of the sound from the movie,
I turn my eye to the screen for a second. Look up again and saw a car just a few feet away in front. Brake like shit.

can we obtain any malaysian version DVD to re-activate the sat nav?

yours is jap import car? its not the dvd that you need to change, its a different system. basically useless in malaysia unless you change the sat nav computer

E39 (5 Series) with Navigation system
E46 (3 Series) with Navigation system
E53 (X5) with Navigation system
BM53 with Widescreen Monitor AFTER 9/01

1. Turn the radio on.

2. Immediately press and hold the "Select" button for at least 8 seconds. The screen will switch to Service Mode.

3. The screen will now show the serial number of the radio.

4. Use the "< >" buttons to select the desired service function.

5. Selections for the desired service function can be made by using the radio station preset buttons # 1-6.

6. Turn the radio off to leave the service mode.

NOTE :When selecting the country AREA, push the station preset # 1 repeatedly until AREA USA is shown on the screen.

When selecting the GAL level, use station presets # 1-6 to select level.

To turn off/on the RDS function on this radio, push the "INFO" button and select RDS off/on.

Fail to work on my friend X5 with Navigation 2002 model. When ON radio within 8 seconds press SELECT button. No SERVICE MODE appear. RADIO OFF sign appear instead.

I tried to use PA Soft. Press RECODING under RADIO module but unable to to launch. Error. Don't know why.

Perhaps you may want to advise should there is any other tricks or I press wrongly.

By the way, I enable TV MOTION for kayzhen911 with ease using PA Soft 1.4. Within few minutes....wallaa !

Did mine Jap specs, changed to local frequency, added aux-in, enabled TV motion just to watch world cup sometime June last year...BUT TV reception while cruising was poor, made me dizzy, 3 months later changed the whole thing, installed dvd/mp3 player etc....BUT no more TV

Just convert japan radio FM to local FM and All local TV Station - RM 780.00

So far so good, signal clear for Radio, TV reception 99%(Stationary) / Moving (Depend on areas)

Did you do your FM radio update with them too ? How did they do it ? Software update ? Quite curious myself since
I've just picked up a Jap spec E60 this week.

It's only a microchip they swap (Japan chip change to local chip).. with software update only on the entertainment section. All other program remain intact / untouch.

You might wana visit them and check more details..
