great info guys....

i do realised that when i shift to DS mode the Rpm will rev up approx.1000...if keep using the DS mode for normal drive will it be shorten the life of the gerabox...?

Higher revs must mean more engine and gearbox wear, and higher FC...but it's more fun and that's what your UDM is for!

However, going on DS for city driving is unnecessary as you'd be wasting revs and not getting very far. I only use DS and MS for outstation uphill/downhill stretches.

12% more expansive of fuel cost to increase 8.33% of FC....not worth to be calculative....but then u also enjoyed the vrooooom of Vpower right?

:) I don't really look at it from the point of %age savings. It's just interesting to me to know whether it's the 97 Ron, the Shell 'additives', or whether I'm the only one experiencing this. And yes, 97 Ron gives noticeably more vrooom, but this is felt less in the 218hp BMW, but I can certainly feel it in the less powerful cars.

yeap i do agree that shiftting the DS or MS mode will be more fun, especially when overtake a car on a single lane,at that time,i won't be thinking af my FC,as long as i can feel the power....that's my UDM for eh....

btw, thanks for the info,it was great to read it...cheers:top:
