Got my Air Flow Sensor replace over the weekend. Cost RM600 for a recon unit, new unit was told cost about RM1600 - RM1800. Since the recon comes with 1 year warranty and goodwill after the 1 year....so decided to use the recon unit.
Hey dude, how's the air flow sensor doing? Been having some sort of air-fuel mix problem since i bought the car 3 years ago. Changed everything, O2 sensor, Air-flow sensors, fuel pump, filters, idle valve, vacuum hoses, etc, but the problem still persists. Now, my new mechanic claims the air-flow unit fitted to my car (different mechanic, a year ago) is the wrong one! New unit from S'pore around 1k. Any ideas? Who's ur mechanic?

If anyone looking for rims HAMANN / RACING DYNAMICS / BBS / BREYTON you can go there and look for the consultant Chin Kiat (SMG rider). I believe all the rims are original and I'm sure he can give u good price.
A guy from SPEED ZONE MOTORSPORTS recommend me to use BMC Air Filter (F1 Power Tech) for my ride. He said you can feel the different without effecting your fuel consumption. Anyone using it ?
I'm using the BMC. Cost around $360.00 and car feels slower with ridiculous whoosh from the engine at low speeds. Its ok at cruising and probably marginally better than stock air filter at high speeds... probably...I've never tried the K&N drop ins, thou.

Where have u been? If you had joined this forum earlier, it would have saved u a lot of money.

O lowly disciple. The destination of thy pilgrimage is the Temple of Cold Air, where the Aircon Grandmaster Naidu practices his holy art, located behind Shell, next to EPF.

For further details, do a search of this forum.... has been discussed already...

Peace be with you,

Thanks mate! Having some unsolvable idling problems, my mechanic is stumped. Have changed the air-flow box/sensor, idling valve, fuel pump, O2 sensor, vacuum hoses etc, but problem still persisting. Now, my mechanic (who's with Auto Bavaria), thinks it might be the control unit/ECU. I'm doomed, this aimless changing of parts is killing me. Air-con thingy will have to be put on hold, still getting my cold air for now, dude.

Hey Lee, already gone thru all the angst...hated car, tried to sell it, tried to fix it, went broke, maxed credit cards. Car went bonkers again, took personal loans to repair car, got disowned by parents, wife threatening divorce, etc. Its still a great machine when in its element and i've been holding on. Thanks for ur PM, will see ur chap tmrow if all goes well.
