The short answer is no symptoms that am aware of. I went for a top overhaul that lead to buying a second hand cylinder head. The mechanic removed the head and put it back, after which the cranking was "slow", according to him and the wire insulation was worn in many places, also according to him. He tried to change the wire but the damage was too close to the sensor so he had to replace it. Yup :|
