:) go to a specialist for the next service..the charges will be a lot less.i've owned 3 gens of bimmers and never once went to AB for maint.
but then again mine are all 2nd hand!!
but what the heck!!! AB always finding a way to overcharge.. at least u know that u actually have a choice..

Sheeet.... I doubt something like a Toyota Harrier scheduled service @ 80k kms will come close to the cost of the BMW svc.

I was told by AB Sg. besi that even E46 Insp II can hit 8k :( .

Mine is due for an oil inspection. Done about 53K. How much damage to my wallet, can I expect?

KennyG :)

Well Okow can say differently. He did his inspection II for his E46325 for less than 3k. Thk its like slightly over 2k. It really depend on how you drive what are th parts to replace. Spark plug whether you like it or not is expensive. Becareful when you chg to make sure the rating are correct. When i chg my M3 plug, quote i got from the parts shop (not AB) is like Rm100 each. Its a special plug that runs cooler than normal plug. Bought mind from US for about usd10ea from the parts shop.

Kenny, you should have a read in the e46 3 series, repair and maintenence
site. Ive posted the breakdown cost of my Insp II, done at AB, Glenmarie.
I found it to be quite reasonable. It really depends how how many parts need attention or change. Like Alvin mentioned....it depends on the condition of your car.

Thanks okow. Will read-up on it.
Would you recommend the service to be done at AB or other places? Heard sometimes it takes along time.
Also there is an AB at Segambut, recomended?? (nearer to my house) :)
If you can live with ABs conditions and $, then its a better choice. Yes, compared to the independent workshops, AB normally takes more time for the job.
Learnt this from a friend: My suggestion is: build a "relationship" with the AB staff...it goes a long way. When you call for an appointment, ask how many cars are already ahead of you and how long would their estimated repair/service time take.
If there are no major repairs, it should take 1 1/2 days.
