docrayboy... nice article!

Totally no regrets getting a 320d... I dont care what people say or the resale value. The drive is simply superb and yes, after using petrol all these years, it certainly feels good that I dont need to visit a petrol station every week.. :burnout:

I am still visiting the station every week..... but clocking around 800~900km every week..... its just too fun to drive!!!

Agree with all that's posted, but one peeve i have is always needing to hope and pray that the diesel nozzles at the petrol station (those that I have not visited before) can fit

i visited so far many petrol station, shell, petronas and bhp. all diesel nozzle are fitting. don't worry so much bro. Buy 320d, you won't regret

The only one which I faced consistently where it doesn't fit was Petron. The rest no issues.

Huh? You mean the fuel pipe passage is locked when you lock your doors?

I got the fuel adapter! hehe!
Please use Petronas lah bro...Petron is too rich already

The diesel nozzle at the new Petronas station (just opened about 1 month ago) at the beginning of the Penchala link doesn't fit. Although it has the skinny nozzle, it doesn't have the protruding bit at its edge to enable the flap in our fuel tank to open to allow for insertion of the nozzle. So unless you have a screwdriver handy to separately flip open the flap while inserting the nozzle, you can't refuel your diesel cars there.

Often times, at those other petrol stations that I could insert the nozzle into the fuel channel, the nozzle can only go about 1/4 of the way (unlike petrol version cars that can accommodate the entire length of the nozzle) due to the "wire-like coil" they have on the nozzle. Because only about 1/4 of the nozzle can be inserted, I dared not use the auto stop clip mechanism for fear that the clip will not be triggered when the fuel tank is full.

let me try when i am around the corner.... i had the same issue with a shell station in trolak.... but i gave it a try to lock and unlock the car.... then i could get the flap to open.... it was a quite weird experience....

So far, since I bought... I have been filling up at Caltex and have no nozzle issues. All fits and the auto stop clip works fine when the tank becomes full to cut off fuel..

If i hav to guess, it'd be poor inventory management. There's no shortage of diesel in Malaysia & Singapore.

Not just Shell, BHP as well especially on Sundays at the station just before the Damansara Toll towards NKVE. Faced that issue 3 times already. Especially the morning before the track day hahaha
