Manyak siokk launching party ..olympic theme ..

My plan is .. Wait for CKD model, hope 320d can get navigation and bigger size iDrive .. Then change steering with BMW Performance steering .. Awesome! .. Hope CKD model also have New rim style.. Hehe

That picture is probably taken on the 335 Luxury model.

As for the specs, I dont think its underspeced as per say.

Did the E90 320i and 320d has any screens when it was first launched?

How do we arrive at a conclusion, if its over/under specced??

I am sure everyone wants 16 speaker Harman Kardon system, Coloured HUD, Bigger I-drive Screens, Sport Steering, Comfort Access, Sunroof but as we all know it, it doesnt come cheap in a BMW.

That being said, compared to the E90....the new F30 has got Auto Start Stop, 8 Speed Transmission, Nicer LCD screen that is glare-proof (and hence no hood like the E90 design, and a lower over dashboard height giving the driver a better view), ECO PRO Mode, TWINPower Turbo engine with higher efficiency and performance and etc, with an almost similar price to the E90. Some of these features are not available in other competitors products.

The new 335 has a similar price like the E90 335 (488k), but now has 16 speakers, Colour HUD, Connected Drive, Brake Energy Regeneration, 4 pot brakes as standard, variable sport steering (ratio changes according to steering angle instead of speed) and etc etc.

Under or over specced?? :)

Cheers

Good point bro ... I guess we were carried away with the latest E90 spec which has evolved towards its end of life cycle.

Yeah, that's perfectly normal.

As we all know every year or two there will be something new to entice buyers, and then you have the LCI, and the last kopek is throwing in all the goodies with performance parts, low interest rate and BSRI.

So, it is always a dilemma whether to buy now and later :)

Cheers

I have to admit that by reading all the reviews from internet, i have high expectation to 320d.

I visit JB branch this evening and have a close look of 328i Sport. I like both exterior and interior and if i have the budget, i shall get it. F30 seem bigger than E90.

KK, i always wondered about this question...why is it pray tell that customisation is not possible in Malaysia? after all malaysia always boleh?

Of course can,i mean can be done & should be done but the 'dealers' r not doing their job.Like i said before, this is a BMW,allow everyhing that has been developed by the Germans in its entirety like how it is INTENDED to be...Our genious dealers,pandai-pandai set the spec, the styles ikut suka dia jer...seriously with the current spec,i know my one person's preference is insignificant-but even if the 328i is priced dirtly @ rm 200k(dream on)-i won't be interested!waste of money i'd say!Further to this,i ONLY liked the 'Modern' line of the F30!and i'm looking fwd for the options below till available...
F30 Modern Line 328i:
-HUD
-Harman audio
-Pedal shifts
-Sun roof
-Adaptive suspension
-Park assist
-i prefer smaller dash screen
-cream coloured leather upholstery
-Silver dashboard (not the UGLY brown veneer wood)
n many more....
so,customization is the BEST option!coz the Malaysian dealers r not up to standard!!actually way too below!
cheers...

I learned that most of the parts of CKD, or so call SKD are made in Germany. Therefore, capability of local assem plant that come into the topic. With proper training and system, i believe customization is possible.

Of cause, i strongly hope that we can customise our own unit in future. Can BMW make the lead?

I know that AUDI allow us to add features/options. I was once nearly purchase my one customised A4 1.8t with price close to 290K.

Optional parts tat needs to be installed while at assembly shud be std...others which can be add-in/retrofit later should be customers choice!provide tat option!good enough!so for now,the std features should be increased!SA said by year end they should hv the full fledge of such optional eqpts!hope they keep their words...
