I notice this bulge on one of the courtesy car I drove (328i) d other day. Looks like its a common problem then. But d sidewall bulge doesnt deteriorate ride n handling I guess

So far for me no it does not. As bulge middle of the sidewall. If get it at the bottom then it might have some vibration that's what I experienced from previous bulge.

But the real scary thing is u won't know when it will burst hahaha. According to them one hit might be small or big might coz it to rupture. Hahahahahahah.

Mine front left got pancit last weekend.. damn screw! Got it fixed at a tyre shop. Funny thing is that TPMS said all 4 is losing pressure.. made me so damn panic.. had to stop by roadside and physically check every one of them.

Is the TPMS able to point to you which tyre is losing pressure? I think it only prompts on dashboard mentioning that tyre pressure loss is detected. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Haih.... another sad thing happen to my F30. One of my front tyre's side wall not only got bulge but it also tears quite deeply. Sent my car in for inspection by Goodyear to detect for defect. The bulge may have appeared earlier without me noticing it. It's so scary that a car tyre's side wall could break. Have not encounter such situation in my 10 years of driving experience. Does this problem only happens to RFT?

I have a bulge too, front passenger side. Happened without me noticing it also. Taking it for an inspection by GY technicians next Tuesday. Hope to get a replacement under warranty.

Looks like this tyre bulge thing is getting too common. I hope this is not due to manufacturing defects. Or else, we would see more coming up soon. Guys, check your GY RFTs.

The technician from GY inspected and said its not manufacturing defect and they will not replace it. This is so lame. Now I'll have to replace it myself. Anyone know whats the price for a piece of the RFT tyre? Mine's a 225/45 18in.

Get from outside is cheaper. Try calling some tyre shops in Klang.

RFTs are still too expensive compare to conventional tyres. For 18" I think around $800 can get.
