Hi there, im Maru a newbie here. Actually im on my way hunting down e36 318 people.After from few option i looked this car actually seems ok to me...but im just a newbie for a BMW ride so need some advise...have anyone seen this ride or any history background please do share with me thank you.http://www.mudah.my/Bmw+318i+Auto+2+0cc-7365179.htmPrice together On the road is 30K1) car engine seem to be very silent once itz start running2) mileage is about 150k-170k Reg Year 19963) paint job doesnt seem that good4) inspection meter light a part of it not working5) computer inspection from jln ipoh AB man shows light error.hope get some usefull advised from the pro one here or is there any good 318 around you would like to recommend me???...good day people

I am using an e36 which is in my avatar and infinity89 is my bestfriend for almost 12years,so i'm trying to help get one which he ask me to help me search afew months back and i ask him to join this forum..and you are saying i'm here for comm??i have a ques for you..do u expect comm from ur best buddy?i dont know whats your answer but sure not for me..if not i would not ask my fren to join this forum?

As we are all afraid of picking a lemon model, it wud be equally difficult to advice through pictures w/o inspecting the car. Close to 8 years ago, I had my chance of picking my 1st beemer. After more than 50 cars inspected and countless visits to my father's mech and not to mention over a duration of 6 months, I finally found the best condition E36 318i 1996 tat i cud afford during tat time. Placed my deposit, loan approved the next day and took the car the following day. A week after driving the car ard to get a feel of wat needs repairing, took my car to my dad's trusty mech & my 1st repair bill was close to RM4k. 3 months down the road, another repair bill came up to RM5k and the next repair bill was almost similiar in amount. Eventually over the years, the repair bill tapered off and came to mere 5000km oil change only.

At times (after looking at the repair bills), I sweared tat tis is my first & final beemer! But once my car leaves the workshop and after a few quick spin, I start singing praises about beemers again. Call this the love/hate relationship. However, this did not push me away frm BMWs but actually made me appreciate them more. BMWs are very precise piece of engineering and requires proper & skillful mechs to look after them. I hv now moved on to another Beemer, albeit a diesel model and learning to appreciate her like how the E36 grew on me. My only advice is to make the best informed decision (of course with your trusted mech's approval) and take the plunge. Make sure you have sufficient moolahs if the unexpected do crops up (GB & maybe the need for top-overhaul). E36 318i is a basic model. Once the wear & tear is taken care off, she will be a joy to drive. Lastly, enjoy the whole experience of ownership. Jst wanted to share wat little experience tat i hv gained ovr the years of driving an E36

going by the photos, the silver one looks like a decent car.. almost stock car in decent condition. the black one is a bit too 'Brothers' for me..
