I hope that they would say that's normal. Then I can claim the rest of the car as the rest of the car isn't normal at much high temperature... hahah.

[*]Wiper movement seems to be coupled over the brake pedal. I felt it because the brake pedal was depressed at traffic light stop. I don't recall such mechanical coupling being felt in other BMW models.

I totally agree with this and it's so bloody annoying especially
if you're stuck in a jam and its raining !
Already so stress from the jam, then can feel the vibration of the wiper hitting the A pillar !
This flaw can drive a person crazy I tell you ! Grrr

Come on BMW ! This didn't happen to both my E46s !

I know! Just over a week ago, it cause one big bad bruise with lots of blood on my knee. I don't blame the design for me banging into it.. itu drebar error. But the edge could have been designed better to minimize injury.

I just cut myself on my right knee and quite bad cos i forget to close the coinbox. My bad totally.. but never knew the edges so sharp

Alamak, another casualty!

Below are my list of ergonomics and Man-machine interface issues on E90. :

1. Flimsy design of cup holder
2. Glaring of aluminium panel surrounding the gear panel -issues with insulation of air vent piping to the rear aircond vent and now it 'squeak and rattles' like hell.
3. Rattle from top air cond vent on IP/dashboard.
4. DTC button position beside the central lock button.-safety issues
5. Power window button too far, always mistaken by the rear p/w switch.
6. Door handle rubberize coating-not suitable and started to peel off badly.
7. ICE-Not able to store the display 'LIST' of my MP3s when switch on/off the car. Need to set back everytime turn on the car.
8. No ON/OFF aircond switch. Need to switch off the fan

There's few more to come....

Your point 3 is very likely the issue i'm having right now. Can SC fix this? Cos mine is 325i M-Sports, the suspension quite stiff and thus if I go over uneven road ie. yellow strips... I would hear plastic sounds coming from the center dash. I touch everything on the dash and they doesn't produce this sound with the exception of the top air-con vent. But how could it be?

This is one of those unresolved mystery....

The mysterious thing is this sound disappear whenever drive in the rain or after a car wash.

1. Flimsy design of cup holder => A bit worried myself when my significant other gets in and out of the car with the cup holder in the 'out' position
2. Glaring of aluminium panel surrounding the gear panel -issues with insulation of air vent piping to the rear aircond vent and now it 'squeak and rattles' like hell => Change to carbon fibre or dark walnut trim to resolve the glare issue! As to the air con insulation, it is a known issue but BMW says it is 'normal'! Mine has no rattle yet BTW (knock on wood!)
3. Rattle from top air cond vent on IP/dashboard.
4. DTC button position beside the central lock button.-safety issues
5. Power window button too far, always mistaken by the rear p/w switch. => Guess yours is the pre-LCI model. Resolved on the LCI.
6. Door handle rubberize coating-not suitable and started to peel off badly. => Mine's still OK after 1 1/2 years. Will keep an eye on this.
7. ICE-Not able to store the display 'LIST' of my MP3s when switch on/off the car. Need to set back everytime turn on the car. => No such problem on mine (LCI 323i)
8. No ON/OFF aircond switch. Need to switch off the fan => Button to turn off the AC is on the right side of the control panel, between the demister buttons.
