PS3 225/45/17 - RM600 very attractive wor..

Change tyres also so susah. Why could they have stuck to 225/45/17 for F & R.

Based on the magazine reviews in Singapore And UK, E90 325i had 225/45/17 all round. Why staggered in Msia?

Anyway, my current tyres can still pakai, so the hunt continues.

Anxious, How come running on 17" staggered wheels? Which set of rims is fitted on your ride?

The e90 325i during our era non-iDrive, like David Yong, BMWs and Alilio type, on staggered 17", only the MSport using staggered 18".

Congrats on your new ride anxious!
Looks like not many parts have been changed in this car yet.
I just talked to my mech yesterday about E90 maint, he mentioned to beware on the ABS pump, it will cost a bomb.

Thks. Yup car in pretty good shape. Only done tyres and rear power windows done todate.

Servicing and transmission oil due soon.

Big items like abs pump and power steering very costly. Can even cost 5 figures...RM10k+...!

Keeping my fingers crossed.....just enjoying the car now.

Nowadays those items such ABS pump , Steering & DSC Module are repairable items. Depending on how severe the damages are. Been there done that.

Oh, good to hear it's repairable. The mech say it does cost >Rm10k to replace and must buy NEW, can't go for used since it's programmed electronic parts. Which workshop do you repair these parts? Can PM me? I'm doing research on E90 now. Hopefully one day I can afford it. Thanks.

My e36 abs and power steering cld be repaired.

The authorised dealers Ie AB dont repair. They just replace...hence the exhorbitant costs.

With all the electronics involved, its also harder to fix. I guess you shld be able to find someone to repair in KL.

In Pg a bit more difficult.

A lot of such things can be repaired in KL, the ABS pump about 11k new but repair about 3k and around 6 months warranty. Wanna own BMW, must factor in such repairs. Set it aside each month la. Then not so painful.

Yea, to be safe, for bimmers with > 80km mileage, we should allocate at least average RM800 per month for repairs.
