There is a write-up on the CKD E90 325i in the latest issue (Nov 2006) of Autocar Asean whereby the writer did make some comparisons between the CKD and CBU versions of the E90 325i. His verdict on the CKD version was quite favourable. There is also an accompanying sub-article there whereby the E46 325i was compared to the E90 325i.

Also a super coupe shootout between the 335i, Porche Cayman and Audi TT in there. The 335i fares very well and it's down to personal preference between it and the Cayman!

(Sigh!) Only within the reach of lucky KL2DC la :(

If not for having to keep a certain marque and legacy alive, we could all be driving the 335i for the same money that we pay for a 320i....with change leftover for mods!

I say SELL IT!

Sob! :( Me too. The 335Ci would be real nice!! I know some friends from beyond our north and south borders already planning to geddit and they're already driving E90s! They joked about me being "marginalised" having to still keep my E46.

JPB,

I share your grief. I'm still stuck with my 5 year old E46, totally bereft of any hope of getting an E90 330i, let alone the E92 335i! :(

Hi guys, was offered RM260K for the CBU 325, one of AB's manager's car which has clocked 2000km, is it a good buy? Was looking to squeeze more but the SA won't budge :(

Seems a reasonable deal to me.

RM260k is good. But ask why they want to sell the manager's car after 2000km - and keep an eye out for Beemers3's returned black beauty and pkw88's returned 159 rims :D

Not that that's bad, but we don't want to be duped by AB do we?

how does one ascertain if the car's genuinely used by the manager or if it's a demo car, in which case those 2000kms would have been driven very hard

The demo car is number plate WMY 2123, clocked about 30,000 kms already, they were willing to let that go for RM245K but it's not in very good condition. The RM260K offer looks ok i guess but I want them to push the price even lower, after all it's already 2000km and growing everyday....

demo car!! .... if you're buying to keep within warranty period, I'd say go for it. But if you're buying for keeps, I'd get something without test miles. You know what happens during test drives, right....

Hey Donnie, I was very restrained during my test drive! :D :D

I wasn't .... :D I drove it like I stole it ;) How'd you think I decided on the car...

bmwjunkie,

RM 260K for a 2000 km 325 CBU 2005? Why not go for the ones that have zero milage, same year, CBU for RM268. It's only 8K difference. If you still want to consider the AB Mgr's car, I would push for more discount.

Exactly what I was thinking, but those guys at AB are staying firm on their price. Need to put my nego skills to a test again.... :D

Or else I might end up with a washing machine.....
