Hi everyone,
I introduced myself in the newbie section a few days ago. To recap, I am a first time owner of pre-owned E90 325i. To me, owning this car is a fullfillment of one of my long time goals in life (next one is to watch Man United live at old trafford). Have been driving the car for about a week and the sound of the inline 6 cylinders moving up the rev range must be the sweetest sound on the planet.

Anyway, I have been reading up the threads and have been learning a lot about the car from here thanks to all the inputs from other owners.

I do like to seek advise on the following...

1. The previous owner had changed his tyres to michelins and its not runflats. I am a bit worried about the risk of a puncture which will leave me stranded...any ideas out there on mitigating this? Heard some owners buy space savers spare and place it in the boot tyre well?

2. My car has 53K mileage on it. I sent it for Service at Quill in PJ. The Service advisor recommended to change the Auto Transmission oil at 60K. My understanding is that this transmission is lifetime or change at 120K? Would just like to know what the rest of the E90 owners out there practice?

3. When is the next TT session? Would like to join if I am around.

Hi bro, mind to share did you buy it second hand or new? If second hand, which showroom did you buy it from?

Couldn't agree more with you. Congratulations on you new found ride, your pride and joy. Just like Schwepps use to say, the I6 N52B25 is a smooth heck of an engine with lots of SOUL. When you mix SOUL with AWESOME HANDLING & STEERING DYNAMICS, you get a PRICELESS EXPERIENCE! A true engineering marvel. Till today, I will take the longer route home whenever possible :) (It never fails to put a smile from ear to ear, never.):top:

Yes, SOUL! Yes!

My 325 is running @ 11.3 liters / 100km. This is only because I do about 70% highways.

I know that most 325s do about ~13.5 liters / 100km.

Wow, I actually thought 11.3/100km is a bit high.
I have a E46 330 M54B30 and it does about 10.5L/100km and I do about 80% highways and I don't drive slowly.

Wow tht's really good. With my style of driving, I got 14.9l/100km on my 325i.

Btw, anyone knows where to find E90's key pouch?

^ Looks like some seriously thirsty cars. My e36 325 does around 10 liters/100km, less if I take it easy. Also 70% highway.

With bigger engine and more highway driving as compared to city driving, you are bound to have better fuel consumption.

I got mine at Auto Bavaria Sg Besi. I think it was ~RM60.

Sad to say... the best I have ever gotten is 12.9litres/100km....

If my usual driving style... always around 13.3 litres/100km...

if u want to compare with 320d... definitely both from different planets! :p

To be honest, with my heavy right foot and the addictive sound of the inline 6, I stop measuring my fuel consumption. I dont really see the point to it. I just wait for the "ding" sound to tell me that I need to top up...hahaha

Hi BeemDream,
How old was ur car? 155k seems pretty cheap for a car with 53k mileage

December 2006. The owner is a lawyer who drove it back and forth home to work. He leaves and work in Damansara.

I bought it second hand direct from the owner. Stumbled upon his add in Mudah.com actually. He advertised for RM163K. He was upgrading to the newer 5 series. The car was registered in Dec 2006. When I saw the condition and after test driving, I told him that I am a serious buyer and asked what was his lowest. He said, RM158K and I said my highest offer is RM155K and I will pay you a booking fee of RM5000 now. deal was done. I guess the fact that he was already committed to the 5 series helped.

Congratulation BeemDream :) happy to read your experience. I am a newbie here, appreciate if you could continue with your experience, maintenance etc. Thank you

Has anything been modified/upgraded?

rm155k for a 50k km is a very very good deal, you are lucky bro.
and i did not expect FC of 325ie90 to be as bad as 11-13L/100km! there is a price to pay for having a rev happy(-ish) engine i guess.

My E90 325i is consuming 12.8 l/100km too. Mixture of urban (70%) & highway (30%) driving.
