done . at the police station i ask "what my chance of recovery? " , he ask back "got insurance ?"
if yes . already recovered.

have to go thru whole process of obtaining claim and then look for another e60...
this time i buy second hand *SOB* no more recond. anyone interest to sell pm me also.

FCUK! I wish the bastard/s who took your car will die in a bad accident and go to hell! Wait.. no they should live and their loved ones all suffer before his eyes! .. or their next live, they become a dog or pig!

Gee... I don't know how else we can help.. :(

Sorry to hear the bad news.. it can happen to anyone, any car! Those bastards, Wira also they want!

.. or maybe there are nicer BMW coming your way and u are fated to upgrade or whatever..

Always look at the bright side, cheers!

stolen via break in ?? care to explain further on this modus operandi ..did they break into your house , tie up and then later drove off your car OR they broke open your gate and drove of ya car ??

wanting to know further on their modus ...

I thought it's not possible to start our cars without the original key???

Sorry about what happened. It's becoming more rampant. Instead of stealing, they will either carjack or break-into your house and just use the keys and drive the car right out of your porch.

WoW! is that easy like that aar? Just used other key and drove it away?

Barbarian , you are right.

the modus operandi ,

6am in morning, i hear rustling sound outside my bedroom !, like rats squeaking.
rush to see outside the window from 2nd floor saw my car is missing from porch and my autogate is wide open.
press the panic alarm key, it must have startle him, thats when i open the door and see the bugger run away.
they are using a white color W number plate, non local, its likely Lexus GX300 , Mazda 6 ,* i did not wear my spec when i chase them thus unable to read the plate !!!!!.

post motem,

1. they are proffessional , they know how my door operate ( mine is a 1 large door + 1 half door = 1.5 door size wood door ) they use some tools to unscrew the hinge , on top of that mine is a double lock, 1 normal key lock + 1 magnetic lock )

2. they stole my wallet , watch and my car key, at first they tried to open my autogate ( arm type via hydrolic ) but i guess they manage to find my house key ! ( advise , put all key and wallet in bedroom )

3. they tried to pry open my bedroom door , however i change my bedroom door when i move in to heavy wood and better lock , thus the failed attempt

in summary, the bedroom door saved me and my wife live, i cringe when i think what happen they manage to open the door , tie us up ? , force us to atm ? , open the safe ? ...

all item is left intact other than my car , wallet and my cheap seiko watch. the rest my notebook , pc , lcd , camera , all the rest are left intact. thank god my wedding ring was not stolen .

now revert back to old way add one more wood bar at door ( like those ancient Chinese house ) and more grill to prevent people from breaking in. lost of property is ok, but if lost of live to these scumbag is another .

thanks all, ya seems like my recovery chance is low , now can only expedite the claim process and get another 5er , maybe this time i get a 530 instead of 525 if the claim allow.
thats why looking for 2nd hand e60 now , but a waste on all the aftermarket mod i add to it ( ccc conversion , + ACM + Dension ).

Dear dark1234 - really sorry to hear your predicament. And many thanks for your sharing of those ba$#@rd$' modus operandi so that all of us can be extra vigilant. I hope that you'll be compensated fairly by ur insurance company. Glad to hear that no one was hurt. I (and surely others) will try to be the eyes and ears (pics of ur car may be of help the efforts, if u may).

sorry to hear that bro.

something bad happen to my wife too. she was in the traffic light stop near to the smart tunnel. a motorbike stopped beside the passenger side, smashed her window and took her handbag.

luckilly she only suffer some minor cuts on her arm.

if i see any snatching, i will chase them and bang them. i'm prepared to total my car for this. these bastards all deserve to die.

Sad to read this. All that matter is that ur family is safe.

Not a good idea to keep the keys as they will definitely go in ur bedroom. Having the keys outside most probably saved ur family.

I just covered my E90 with "blanket".. its as good as telling others there's no gold here.. :p They will have to guess what's under..

How come you can press the panic button for your house alarm while those bastards can still get into your house, despite having alarm? Not activated? or they managed to tricked the magnetic door sensor?

WHY should we have to pay for PRIVATE security while is a matter of PUBLIC safety, when we already pay our taxes?%*)@*@)*@)@&$&$&

IMHO, this unfortunate car-theft is a "congratulations" to our incompetent government for allowing our country to reverse to this state.. car theft, house break-ins an snatch theft etc are now everyday occurances in Malaysia....

Malaysia boleh!!

the social problems we are having now is something waiting to happen... We have so have locals who doesn't want to work on jobs which are then filled up by foreigner workers, legal and illegal ones.. So when the bad time comes, all hell break loose... Everyone has to blamed in part, but of cos, the government oso have to shoulder its own portion of the blame...

As for going into political talks, I guess it's been talked to death aledi elsewhere.. So no need to start one here...

Snatch thieves cases is on the rise and not only Malaysia, countries like UK and Japan is not spared. This economy slow down is getting into every nation and situation may get worse as this long flat period of economic activities continue.. :(
