Tuan Haji,It happened to me as well. The same AB *quoted me almost 20K . When I ask what is the problem, they said they need 2-5 days to confirm the problem. Then,I ask my friend from the same AB and he advised me to go to Ingress. I send to ingress and they perform RCA less than 20 minutes and solved within less than 1 hour and only cost me RM500++. So, I believe you know what need to be done.

From what I gather from the above posts, ABuaya is quoting you for the replacements of parts that they themselves have had changed prior of your purchase of this automobile whilst within the ownership of the past owner. And [I stand corrected if I am misled here] since replacement parts comes with a [2 year?] warranty, they still quoted you anyways WITHOUT even checking the service history of this automobile? Woot der foook were these bungling eediiott thinking of...!!! Would this very act fringe to FRAUD???

If somehow the peeps from ABuaya are reading this, enough with the blatant complacency. Please dig deep and start some thinking on how services can be improved...

And if by a long-shot, the peeps from Bee eM Malaysia or even Bee eM AG are reading this, I sincerely hope you guys can correct the situation from further happening that may even erode any strand of consumer confidence. I believe I've read too much complaints already... Nuf' said!

Ich glaube, ich habe zu viel Beschwerden bereits gelesen ... Nuf 'gesagt!

Yes Seewai, the time taken for them with the ridiculous quotation is just like pouring salt onto my wound. And "bmw specialist are the keywords where I thought they are it.. They turn out to be a bunch of rookies compared to you and the rest here..

I remember your advise on this Prez. Hence my email them. Lets see whether they noticed my points or not... Glow plugs and battery were replaced in Sept 2011.

A friend bought an approved used bmw from AiyaBuyliao with comprehensive how many point checks. Car was problematic, quoted a ton to fix, basically same excrement. When buying car ok, when u need service or getting car fixed get ready for a ton of A1 cowcrap at world class pricing.

Joints like this gives authorised bmw dealers a bad name and the impression of bmw being ultimate driving headache.

Why do I have this feeling that the excessive white smoke was no longer there when they finally got the time to check my car and they came up with "While we are at it, lets slaughter this rookie bmw owner" (BTW, thats the impression I gave the CSO when I spoke with him)... It's just my wild feeling only though, Lets see what happen when I visit them on Saturday..

I would most certainly taking this move into consideration bro. Thanks for the tip and would you mind sharing your experience so that we could learn from it?

I have not done it per say but from my limited knowledge normally they will clean the housing, check for the impeller/rotor damage, bearing damage and also wastegate. If needed, they will change those items.
 
Bad, I thought so that's what it means. They did exactly that 7k km ago (sept 2011). Well at least that's what I read in their job sheet.. I bet tose guys at AB arer sweating trying to cover their blunder right now. No wonder I still haven't received any response to my query I email them yesterday morning..

thats right bad ...not forgetting the shaft which can bent/warp, which will create a hissing sound if it happens.

Friday around 3pm - After pulling some cable, Head of Customer Service Dept, AB called and informed that "most probably" the problem was caused by:

1. Glow plugs
2. Light pressure pump
3. Fuel filter.

I told him that I will pick up the car tomoro morning (drive or tow truck) and I will take this matter to higher level.

Friday 5.17pm: Mr. Lee (After Sales Service, AB) called saying M.D asked him to call me. He said they do not have the pump in their stock (without mentioning the other two parts mentioned by the head of customer service. I told him the ordeal I went thru the whole week. He asked me not to take the car out tomoro and we will meet up on Tuesday evening.

Yes, Mr. Prez, I see the GOOD things coming my way already. See ya tonite @ Ampang tt.. :)
 
Dear Hubby, we visited the poor E60 this morning at AB.... :) Look at my side of this whole thing at least the signatures of the F1 drivers on the dasboard are still there :) If AB quote you to replace that too then they will see black white smoke coming out from my ears!! :)

Sham, really sorry and sore to hear about your predicament. Looks like you are moving in the right direction. You have a strong case against AB with regards to the "diagnosis" of the mentioned problem and the extended time it took them to respond to you. AB customer service sucks big time - I too have been a victim of numerous unanswered calls. What gets customers boiling is when there is no answer from the dealer. All this inconvenience at the expense (time & money) of the customer. Yes, there is no such thing as a perfect organisation but the least AB could have done was to keep the customer informed of whats happening - simple courtesy. If they don't change then the customers will have to change them.
