SHAH ALAM: Two armed robbers who stabbed their woman hostage to death were killed in a shootout when a police team stormed into the burning bedroom in an attempt to rescue the woman. Two other robbers, who were trying to force their way into the house, were arrested in the 4.45am incident at the D’Kayangan housing estate here.Housewife Raja Noriana Raja Ahmad, 41, her husband and their two daughters were having their sahur (early morning meal before fasting) and saying their morning prayers when the robbers struck. The two robbers entered the house through the downstairs toilet.State CPO Deputy Comm Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said: “The woman’s husband escaped through the front door unharmed while their two girls, aged 18 and 20, ran upstairs and jumped down from the back room window. The girls suffered leg injuries and one hurt her back,” he said. The woman was taken to the master bedroom upstairs by the two robbers.“We received an emergency call at 4.45am from the victim’s husband and a patrol car in the area responded.“When police reached the scene they managed to nab two of the suspects who were outside the house and called for back-up when they realised that there were two armed men in the house,” he added.DCP Khalid, who arrived at the scene later, said police later freed a security guard who was tied up in front of the house. He said the police told the robbers to surrender but they refused. During negotiations, the robbers demanded a car and wanted their accomplices to be released.“My men saw them attacking the woman and set fire to the bedroom where they were holed up in.“When negotiations failed after three hours we had to act fast to try and rescue the victim,” he added.Police forced their way into the house and in the ensuing shootout killed the two robbers. The woman, who had stab wounds on her throat, back and wrist, was found slumped on the bed bleeding. She was still alive when police rushed her to the hospital. However, she died at 9.25am.“We do not know the exact cause of death yet and will wait for the post-mortem report,” he said.DCP Khalid said police recovered a .32 Smith & Wesson revolver in the house. It had been reported stolen from a senior government officer’s house in Section 3 on Sept 3.The victim and her family are the only ones living in the new housing estate.Police identified the dead robbers as Abd Sugiono Prio and Mojib Ridwan.DCP Khalid said police found an expired passport and an Indonesian identity card.“We believe all the suspects, in their 20s, have been involved in at least six robberies in the Klang Valley and Negri Sembilan,” he said.DCP Khalid said this was the second incident at Raja Noriana’s new house since her family moved in one-and-a-half months ago.He said the first incident was an attempted robbery on Sept 1, in which they believed their former maid had a role

The main suspect here is the bloody maid, read this somewhere today. Condolences to the poor family.

totally agree, i think all the above u mention 80% is done by indon, they rob and kill, go back to their hometown happily spend those ill gotten gain, after finish, come back to malaysia again and strike some poor victim again. this thing will repeat until they run out of luck one day, but how many ppl have they kill before they run out of luck? some might not even necessary be caught after years of those crime........

I totally agree with Mouse. Is the Government to be blamed here? I think so! After all, the Government is handing out citizenships to Indons easier than other nationalities. Go figure!

POLICE sucks !!!!!!!!! from 4.45 till 9.20 ...then only act .....

Put u in the police's shoe oso you won't act too hastily... Always negotiate to end it peacefully and not by force...

why even bother opening a thread for this one? robbery, murder, rape, etc are like daily routine in msia man...u see one case every other day

hah..

everyday, in all newspapers, in the first 3 pages is always death news.. nothing new..
but, here is a little compare to other countries like new york, manila.....

It was sad to hear this occured.
D'kayangan sits on the former batu 3 circuit in shah alam.
The semi-d houses are supposed to be somewhat in an exclusive neighbourhood.
Even more frightening is the fact the found a revolver on the robbers.
Nowadays we cannot take home security for granted any longer, not with the acts of desperation out there.
If you got to barricade your home, live under constant lock and key, then so be it.
In bukit jelutong there have even been cases of robbers climbing over the front gate of a house in the evening when people were playing soccer just opposite the home.
Apa sudah jadi...
My condolences to the family.
