Hope you all had a fun trip. I'm sorry I couldn't make it for this one.

I don't need to tell anyone here how enjoyable it is to take the beemer out for a drive out of town even more so in a convoy. The drives I took part in last year to Ulu Yam and Kuala Klawang (organised by BlackE90) were some of the most memorable aspects of the year for me. So, who wouldn't want to be part of this if they can make it. Kudos to RB for having organised countless drives! That's what this Club should be about.

However, there are many things this Club should not be about and I'm disturbed by some of the insinuations that have been made. I can handle a jest but after a while, when some ramblings get repeated often enough and by the same persons, it points to a misconception or much worse, an agenda.

I know I have been away from the forum for a while and I do miss it actually. The fact is I took on a new job in November last year and the last 4 months have been about working 15 hours a day, some weekends included. There's no question that this has taken its toll on any aspect of my social life. It has been "Sheer Exhaustion Pain" for me. BTW, I'm doing Corporate Debt Restructuring and anyone who has done CF can tell ya it's a line of work where clients are very "kan cheong" because of the huge amount of money involved, enough to make or break the viability of businesses, even conglomerates, especially in the prevailing economic climate.

I rest in some comfort that before this, I managed to regularised the Club's position with ROS which involved preparing volumnious amounts of submissions, initiated critical amendments to our Club's Constitution and was part of the team which secured good, reputable and long term sponsors for the Club and its activities. The list goes on and this will be any even longer post if I have to list everything.

The point is this... Despite professional and personal challenges (those close to me can attest that I have had plenty of that too!..), many of us in the Committee have to carry out the "thankless and mundane" jobs. We are unaccustomed to standing in the lime light and bragging about the minute details but we certainly don't deserve the snipe remarks too. There are elements within the Committee who are more "activities" or PR oriented and that's great too. All in all, both have to function with the same level of commitment and camaraderie for the betterment of the Club. I hope we are all on the same page on this. I trust that members of the Committee you are closer to have been sharing with you what the Committee has and will carry out for the Club, the 2009 calendar of events for eg.

I hope for some understanding cos without this, it's just not fun for some of us anymore and without this, what's the point ya.

powerbulu ...pls read my previous post carefully .... i'm just asking why there is a sudden pull out of committee members here ...rather than it's member ....

don't need to explain it , i would understand it on your side ..as usual ....

However, there are many things this Club should not be about and I'm disturbed by some of the insinuations that have been made. I can handle a jest but after a while, when some ramblings get repeated often enough and by the same persons, it points to a misconception or much worse, an agenda.

--->>> there is personal agenda here ... as for safeguard, what if there's a mishap to happen during a drive ..can one comm member@VP handles everything ... therefore it would better if we could see more than 2 for each trip right ?? the more committee members attend would be great .... simple :)

if you think there is an agenda behind me, do let it out here ..no problems with me ..

I am glad that all of you had fun. It was a nice outing for all of us . A big hand to the Ipoh group for coming down and joinng us for this drive. Thank you karim and geng.In total we had 30 cars for this drive. The person who came up with this idea of having a drive to sungkai was QD250. Thanks to him i belived the location was perfect as for me i just make it happen. It was also nice that the hotel did a small reception for us and for this the person we should thank is JYazid because he was there a week a go and made this arrangement with the hotel. So he may not be with us for the drive but he did his part. I am so happy to see so many new face for this drive and in overall every body behave very well. Thanks to my marshall QD.XXXand Lamoo who did an excellent job. The only small problem that happen on this drive is Lomoo lost Mrs Lamoo for 5min. But before we could set a search and rescue team she pop up and said to lamoo "it is not that easy for you to loose me" hehehehe no angry aaa uncle Lamoo. After the pau session 14 cars prioceed to Kuala Selangor lead by Sham Kasio. He took us thrue very the shiock road (his kampong ma so sure he know) but sayang half way hujan.Pussy,Mirage and Wolverine drove all the way and meetup with us at Kuala Selangor sea food. The see food venue was set by Pussyand he was there to make sure everything was ok and it was good choice. One thing for sure Pussy and Yazid may nt be in this drive but for sure they did their part. Thanks guys. Not to forget it was also Mrs Kasio birthday. We left K.Selangor at 9.20pm and all of us arrive safely. Thanks once again i hope the spirit of drives to come will be always like this. A good start for 2009 monthly weekend drive.
