here we go for the link http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6704
Scroll to the bottom of the page, you will be able to see the location of the screw...cheers.

Thanks Superman!

BTW, good idea to bring it to Ingress for calibration before EGM starts next week. The Committee will be there early anyways so we can mingle a bit before the meeting starts. :top:

I just read the E90 post on manual adjustment of headlights. It seems that it's a very common pwobwem among E90s that the lights are set too low. I found this to be the case for myself too and am glad to have found the "screw" to adjust this. I did 3 full turns as what Superman advised.

However, there seems to be few consensus on how to adjust the lights. Some say just one full turn, then there's this joker who turned 12 full turns and everyone saying he's gonna be blinding jumbo jet pilots with his Xenons. I am conscious of the need not to over-adjust cos this is just dangerous and irritating to other drivers. If I get high beamed by other drivers no matter how happy I am with my setting, I will turn it down.

So, I wonder if anyone of you have tried this besides Superman and myself. What's your ideal adjustment?

JPB, I doubt there's an ideal adjustment (no. of turns) until we find out what's wrong with our car in the first place. Such simple calibration is a norm the moment the headlights were install back at the assembly facility. Which I think they did.. :D otw the beam would be out by a lot, not only up/down, but left right too.. :D

So forget what just said and bring out those Torx screw drivers and start screwing.. :D

3 x 360 degree turns anti clockwise izzit?! :D This is gonna be fun... please get ready your sun glasses at night if u driving in PJ at night.. kekekekeeee....

...hope I get the right screw or else, I will be driving a cock eye E90.. :D

I used a flat head screw driver which worked fine. I won't know the improvement until I drive out later tonight but in my ex-E46, the adjustment worked wonders. What about other E90 pilots, anyone tried this?

I had just make some adjustment to my E90 head lamps last night.
Will post feedbacks another day.

Hahaa.... u been screwing around too huh.. maybe we have a competition to see who can shoot the furthest.. after screwing.... :D

so what is the conclusion?did you all manage to adjust your low beam to suits your driving style.....

if you're gonna ask about your headlights why are putting overtaken by vios as title? lol that's why others reply about that
anyway was driving a perdana 2.0 v6 some time ago and a 320 e90 out-accelerate me

Night driving can be challenged for people. Years ago, I used to cruise at 150Kph on the highway at night and feeling like "king of the road", until a tuned Golf GTI passed me like I am standing still!. He is doing 190K.

Also, do not under estimate a Vios, it has good power to weight and the manual version is pretty mean. I had a 1.5G manual before and smoked a few Civic SIR riceboys on the street. (race driver training helped...). Safe driving now.

Its called "framing" my dear.. The idea is to catch some attention.. at least now I got yours.. :D

Anyway, now my headlight level kelang kabut d.. after I sent the car to Ingress for some check up.. I suspect they adjusted my headlight... now I lost count of how many turns and my right "eye" is now higher than left "eye".. So do I lift my left and lower my right... or do nothing... :stupido2:
