AB.. now you know why BMW pricing is so competitive with other makes...

but, i had a go with a the latest C200K... very nice..

I spoke to AB Sg. Besi AfterSales Manager Mr. Hoo and showed him this photo:

Guess what,.... he said that's common. All local models E90 do not come with that cover.. :( ... and he didn't stop there, nice chap... he said he can help me tape up the exposed section.. with duck tape I suppose..

Looks like now I have to write to BMW Malaysia and CC to BMW AG.. :( Can anybody give me their email?

Astro now must be very upset about his purchased.....

1) head light wires without covers...
2) deprived first service on 10,000km...
3) a scar under the paint surface that cause uneven paint surface on the bumper, when squat down, can see clearly...

Bro, keen to change your ride....?
I'll assist you to dispose....

No BlackE90, if just an E90, I'm alright but.... mine is the most expensive pre-reg E90 320i in the forum la!!!! basket x3!!!

Ok... email goes out to BMW Malaysia d. I am just asking them why driver side no cover but passenger side got cover... see how they reply!

funny thing about BMW models these days.. i notice the wiring loom of the other car and AB's one, is totally different.. must be the local spec issues here..

Mine also has the cover on the passenger side but not on the driver side, so astro, it must be one of those 'normal' things in BMW-land la. :)

Thank god I'm not alone!.. anyway, will share my finding here once BMW Malaysia reply me... this is definitely out of Auto Bavaria's hand.. not their fault.. don't blame them.. they just sell what they get from BMW Malaysia..

Funny thing though, BlackE90's CKD 2006 E90 has the cover le!

Stok habis is normal lor... :)

Hilarious how we got into this conversation because a Vios overtook an E90! :D

No worries, I created this thread, so I get to say who is out of topic! keep it up ppl! I love chaos! impromptu! unplanned! rojak!.. :D Just like my bed, my room, my table! But my car is neat :top:

Normally for an E36, there are two knobs to adjust the headlight.

1. first knob for up/down direction
2. second knob for left/right direction.

Does the E46 or E90 have this feature?

YES ..BRO that correct

GOOD NEWS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!!

I just receive a call from BMW Malaysia Voice... a very friendly voice indeed, informing me that the cover EXITS!!!! and is STANDARD!!!! So he will make arrangement for my SC (AB Sg. Besi) to get ready the cover for me.

They are still investigating on why is this part missing, though they didn't say "No more stock".. :D

I've got a cover... I've got a cover..!!!

Woooooooo! Now no Vios will dare overtake you man! :)

Why you dint get for me also? I thought we were frens? :(

Good for you Astro. Now I have to go check if mine has the cover. Never did notice this till this thread.

Contact Mr. Hoo but not now. I think Mr. Hoo still blur blur don't know what happened. Wait till I get the email from BMW Voice which will be CC to Mr. Hoo, then only I teach u what to do.. don't confuse them now... they very "stressful" wan.. :D

Astro, your 3 most crucial unpleasantness.

1) head light wires without covers... [settled]
2) deprived first service on 10,000km...[this one how..?]
3) a scar under the paint surface that cause uneven paint surface on the bumper, when squat down, can see clearly...
[and this one also...how...?]

2. I kao tim d lor... I change oil d mah...
3. small matter.. pasang CF lip la! Can cover.. no big deal... I easy fella ma... don't complaint too much wan.. ;)

Just don't feel comfortable walking around with one "bra" missing... now they agree to return the missing portion to me ma.. :p

regarding socket cover, there are variant in this case. I had seen this scenario in CBU and CKD cars as well.

For wire harness with encapsulated gasket between the wire connector and socket housing, then no need the outer cover. Water and dust cannot go in.

Hey astro, good move to go direct to BMW Malaysia. At least they won't say "it's normal" for the cover to be missing on one side like the dealers probably will. :shot: I shall follow your lead to get my one-eyed jack fixed too. I'm sure we're not the only two with this issue so BMW should get extra stock ready. Heehee! :embarassed:
