:top::top::top: Bro don't mind to tell what is the total damage from your pocket in tis project :love::love: it very much. Hope the opponent would get blind from u he..he....

Hey Alex,

Thanks for asking, costs as below

E46 bi-xenon projector set - RM464
FX-R projectors - RM382
HID D2S ballast + bulb - RM151
E46 replica shroud - RM89
Yellow Philips H7 bulbs - RM76
Paints - RM70
Relays etc - RM60
D2S harness - RM27

If you're already on projector then going quad would be RM464 less. Haha the opposing traffic shouldn't be blinded because I'm using the correct driving side shield and beams properly adjusted :burnout:

How did that happen to your right when your left rings are just perfect?? Oh is it because your left beam is adjusted on a different angle compared to the right...yea i get it now. :)

I'm pretty sure one of the projector is mounted to point too high. Thus when installed the bowls need to be pointed down and obscuring part of the angel eyes..

Aidil, lok very good except for the rhs high beam housing alignment. Nice e46 u hv,wits the spec apart from the baby engine?

Skinhead thanks, other than the baby engine (N42B20), Mtech II bodykit, 18 inch style 184 replica, stock suspension (revert from eibach), carputer with OBD and GPS, reverse camera, 12 inch JBL sub and 150W Kicker amp. Still four spoke steering..

Error deletion

Guys, as you all know, there'll be error indicators when changing from halogen to xenon due to different loading of the bulb. In my case the error persists on the dash but the xenon can still be powered up but they flickers. To mimick the load of halogen, capacitors were installed so that during LCM test they will drain current (to charge up) fooling the LCM that the bulb is okay. After installing the capacitor, xenon will no longer flicker. Please refer to post #2 for picture and value of capacitor. Unlike resistor that gets hot during operation because it dissipates power in the form of heat, capacitor does not. In a DC environment, capacitor only uses power to charge and once it's full there'll be no current flowing through it.

So thats the deal with my low beam warning, no warning for high beam because I'm still using halogen. Warning left is the parking/pilot lamp because they are removed due to no place to put in a quad projector setup. Unlike the low beam which is high powered, the parking lamp bulb is marked as 5W so it is cancelled with resistors. Not to keen to write anymore so on to pictures, leave me question if you have any..

Cheers

aidil, when i upgraded to xenon from halo on my e39, do delete the error message, i use resistor, the silica type. i dont use caps as i dont hv flickering issue with my slim hid ballast. but from my research, on some cars, like urs, the error can be deleted with caps.

aidilj...

i am new here...great project.... smurftastic (haha).

Bro Aidil, is the resistor value the same for E60? I thought of retrofitting HID on my fog lights but I'm very sure the OBD error would come up :d

The resistor value is suitable for 5W which is the parking bulb wattage. For your application a lower value may be needed and if the resistance value required is too low then the resistor pack would be huge and not cost effective. For HID I suggest trying the capacitor mod instead. Also check with others; InitialM since he also changed his fogs to HID.

Cheers

I had those china made LED's on my angel eye rings and every time I start the car, it flickers :( Although it has the canbus that tricks the ECU, the flicker does not seem to go away.

Bro aoch88, the LED is just running off the car power rail and it shows that the source is noisy. Install a capacitor close to the LED to filter the noise out.
