Reasonable price. Should consider replacing gear box oil if you have not done so previously.

how much is it to service back at bmw dealer compare to the workshop outside ?
Going back to authorised SC would set u back approx. 30-40% more from outside workshop, dependent on what service required.

I’m in cyberjaya. Any good shop (clean workshop) within Klang Valley will be good
if you are from Cyberjaya, try my usual workshop located at :
30, Jalan Meranti Jaya 11,
Taman Meranti Jaya Industrial Park,
47120 Puchong, Selangor.
Mobile : 016-6572782

The Mechanic name is Yong. This guy charges are reasonable and good quality workmanship. Most importantly, he is an honest mechanic. This is rare to find these days.

Example of honesty :
1. Water could not shoot out the nozzle to clear windscreen. Sent to him, he cleaned the hose because it was clogged. Other mechanic would have probably told me that motor rosak. (For F10)

2. Power window was not working, he opened up, did some soldering as he mentioned it was a loose connection. Other mechanic probably would have told me to change the power window motor. (For Dad's Wira)

I have done the following with him :
1. Change front and rear brakes.
2. Sealing of firewall gromet.
3. Change Gearbox Oil.
4. Change engine mounting.

Its a small shop but he does excellent work

Hi guys, i am new here. wanted to ask any good workshop around penang or butterworth?

Thanks in advance

If your car is beyond 100k, check your EGR system, if dirty ask them to clean it out. Engine needs fresh air to burn. If these don’t sort out, I suggest checking your timing chain especially if yours is N47 engine.

Those of you that has lost your lock nut key to your wheels, Ingress charges RM20 to use their set of keys to open your locked lug nut. Decided to switch to the normal non lockable nuts, the cost per lug nut is RM19.10.

Long rubber seal that is attached to the body of your car at front passenger side is RM450. Installation belum kira but i think can DIY.

Price of the long rubber seal that sticks to your door is also RM450.

Air cond compressor for 535i is approx RM1,800. To be changed with drier RM200. Workmanship another RM150.

Guys,

Since the earlier F10s are coming out from BSRI n warranty, lets share the parts and service cost(s) related to the maintenance and upkeep of the ride.

Aircond was not blowing cool air. Initially thought the culprit was the cooling coil. Upon further checks, found the condenser has practically disintegrated. Since the car was a UK import, mech concluded the damage was caused by winter/snow salt.

The Condenser, leaking like an overused diaper....

See through.....damage from UK's winter salt

New Behr Condenser

Damage:
Condenser RM 1640
Labor RM 180

Hi guys,

Having a problem with my F10 (5 Series).
I been adviced by BMW that my all my absorbers need to be replaced and my turbo started to have problem.
It's hefty charges literally threw me off, can I get a recommendation where I can get it replaced with much more reasonable charges.
By the way I am from Ipoh, I wouldn't mind coming to KL to get it fixed

Your absorbers can be repaired around RM5000 at Reiber, Pandan Indah. At least they can still be electronically controlled. Or perhaps get a brand new Blienstein, cost around the same I guess. Turbo can find half cut, just make sure your workshop can verify that the replacement turbo is good to go. Just did mine too, plus I changed the rear differential as well due to some annoying noise here and there. Did all at Vebo Cyberjaya. Really nice workshop for Bimmers. Spot on!
