As per my bill-

1) service standard scope - RM36
2)Engine oil service - RM54
3)Service fuel filter - RM90
4) Microfilter service - RM54
5) set oil-filt - RM118.05
6) Change of door handle labor charge -RM54
7) Fuel filter RM245.09
8) Hose clamp RM6.91
9) Filter set RM664.54
10) Filter elmnt RM337.88
11) BMW 5W30 engine oil RM327.60
12) door handle - RM376.30 (bought from Bavarian autos)

Engine sound seems heavier now. Any advice guys?

Heavier? hmmmm not sure abt diesel engines.... shldnt it be sounding 'lighter'?

Just changed, they also do the change over service for you.
 
Hi. Any F10 owner experience the sound of "half bottle water in the dashboard area" wobbling water? Was told by a mechanic it's due to Heater Control Valve of the aircond not functioning. Anyone change this before and the cost? Thanks.

Hows ur aircond bro? Still cold?
 
Someone had a similar issue on here some time ago, it turned out to be a blocked A/C drain, RM25 to get it fixed. Try taking your car to a good air con place.
The thread is in the e60 path (loud water from air vents).
 
Yes, aircond still cold. Was told by a mechanic that Heater Control Valve could be faulty (but not 100% sure).

Parts Cost only bought from Bayern Auto excluding labour charges (approx RM700 @ DU Tyre Uptown)
1) Ori Rear Brake Part + Sensor = RM416
2) Ori Engine Mounting 2pcs = RM901
3) Ori ATF 5 litres x RM67 = RM335
4) Ori ATF Pan Filter = RM256
5) Ori Oil 5W-30 5 litres x RM46 = RM230
6) Ori Oil Filter = RM53
7) Ori Coolant 1.5 litres = RM34
8) Ori Air Filter = RM164
9) Ori Driver Side Door Handle Grip (Biege colour) = RM226
10) OEM Thermostat = RM154
 
Replaced both engine mountings for n55 RM510 from Auto Bavaria Glenmarie. Need 2 of them. Stockists price ranges fm rm300 to rm500, but not same quality as ori BMW mountings.

Labor another RM200

Now ride is much smoother
 
Guys, How about frequency of changing brake fluid? whats the damage? for F10 520d

Some change every 2yrs. Some do it at every 2nd change of pads/discs. Brake fluid itself is less than rm80 per bottle (depends on brand). workmanship depends on the workshop.
 
Changed trunk lid springs, both return n tensioner springs. from BA
R (tensioner) rm 228
L (return) rm 104
 
Symptom : DRL/angel eyes were not working. Cause an error each time the headlight is switched on.

Replaced faulty Headlight driver module AHL with xenon (part#7316217).

Enquired with Bavarian Auto, and was quoted RM1,530.

From your driving position, u can feel the car vibrates (not ur normal smooth vibration) especially when u press on the throttle at idle. u can also feel the vibration on ur steering n in ur seat.

Upon visual inspection, u can see the rubber part of the mounting 'sunk' into the mounting assembly.

Honestly, not sure as it depends on the car usage. Mine lasted 120k km until those vibration/feel occurred. was told by the diesel guys, their mountings wore out earlier than the petrol variant (higher torque maaa......). Suggest to look out for ques (vibration, visual inspection)
 
Guys,

Since the earlier F10s are coming out from BSRI n warranty, lets share the parts and service cost(s) related to the maintenance and upkeep of the ride.

Aircond was not blowing cool air. Initially thought the culprit was the cooling coil. Upon further checks, found the condenser has practically disintegrated. Since the car was a UK import, mech concluded the damage was caused by winter/snow salt.

The Condenser, leaking like an overused diaper....
