I have a question - if I buy a 530 Hi-Line and want to lower it like M-sports, which springs should I buy? What are the good suspension/absorbers for the E60? Is Koni popular in this case?
Try B12 or B8 with eibach. Koni too soft.

Btw guys, what's the actual road tax price for a 530i? Some say RM1K+ and some say RM2K+?

I'm using eibach with stock absorber. Not so lowered, still got gap between fender and tyre. But the combination damn soft,if you prefer comfort then you will like it. But me dont like it much, thinking to get B8 when my absorber kaput later on..

Thanks Hakim :) Btw, KL roads are wavy, bumpy and full of potholes. Sometimes it's just a turn-off and having a more comfort ride certainly helps.

Thanks hakim. Yups got some recommendation for eibach as well. By the way are those 18" or 19"? I just got myself an e30 today. Year 84 and pretty run down. Will be paying more attention on this old lady now :D hehehe

bro bmcaz,
Let's look at my E60 ok? FYI - its on stock M-Sport suspension & spring... not on Eibach or Bilstein whatsoever! All 4 tyres are 245/40/18...

Picture 1 - view of the whole car! Notice that the gap between tyre and arch is just right!

Picture 3 - rear tyre

Picture 4 - noticed that the tyre is protruding out near the fender? I'm using spacers to make the ride look cooler :D

picture 5 - the spacer!

I think that you need to change is the M-Sport suspension as it's not too soft nor too stiff... just right! I have a home minister and she seldom complain about the bumpy ride everytime we drove to KL from Lipis... especially going to the uneven stretch between Bentong - Raub! And you definitely need spacer to make your tyres protrude out near the fender... more garang I reckon :D

thule, now i realise you are using spacers. I got spacers too but not using it because the ori lock nuts are too short. What do you use?? Can PM me if don't want to reply here :D

bro affan,
Yeah.. if you are using spacers, original lock nuts are useless already. You need aftermarket lock nuts... I will PM you on where you can buy the lock nuts for spacer size up to 20mm. I think about RM150 per set of 5 nuts...

arggh ignore my reply bro thule.... u answered already.... it comes in a set

Bro, if using spacer got vibration or not in high speed?

no lah... get good ones... Breyton spacer is good choice :top: ranging from 10mm to 20mm...

did it at Motorsport Division 3 years ago... it's original M5 side vent if I'm not mistaken. Cost about RM550 or somewhere near the figure... comes with 2 pieces of #D M5 sticker but I bought 2 x Hamann 3D stickers to replace them... after all, I'm not M5 driver.. just M-Sport.
You can do it virtually everywhere... Exotic Mods, motorsport Division, Redzone, Progressive, etc...

Any harms using spacers like it might slip, affect the drivetrain, etc? I always hear people saying bad stuffs about spacers so it's best to hear from an owner himself. Btw, how much are the Breyton spacers? Approximate price?

Have been using the spacers for more than 6 months now.. so far didn't encounter any problem affecting the drivetrain.. not even alignment or balancing of the wheels :top: one thing for sure is that the wider the gap between the tyres... handling and cornering is as efficient as ever :D but that's my personal opinion!

Breyton spacers + nuts should be in the region of RM600-800 for a set of 2... forgot already lah bro :D always call and ask...

Thanks bro Thule :) Actually all I wanted is an approximate price so we have a baseline price when we scout around :) You know sometimes these dealers will start by ridiculous price so best to know roughly to avoid getting conned, lol. Btw, if we change to 19" rims then we don't need the spacers because the wheels will be right on the same lines as the fenders?

i am on 19" staggered. I still think putting on spacers make emm super cun......

Nice ride! When are you putting in the spacers? There are so many sizes of spacers, totally no idea which one fits well.
