I use Ravenol 5w-40 before. Find it a bit rough...engine gets noisy. Other than tat is alrite....lesser oil leak problems.
Mine is E90 320.

Just service my e90 2007 today.

AB,

Which one better? N3000 or N8000?

N3000 for normal use, N6000 is a directional tyre like Goodyear D5 while N8000 is an asymmetric tyre like Good Year A2. Depends on your preference lor.

Enjoy reading your blog man...Its like watching Nat Geo or Discovery Channel...you  and keep 'em comin...

Anyone have any recommendations on front absorber for E90 320i? My front are shot and my workshop (M.S. Motor, Sg. Besi) says they recommend Blisten saying they are better for performance i.e. harder. But it won't come cheap at over one thousand for just the two fronts. Boge is about SGD150 per corner which is much cheaper than Blisten. I just want the front absorber to remains as standard, no lowering etc.

I read somewhere Boge and Blisten is under the same company.

Any recommendation?

Oil filter = RM 45.00
Oil Sum Gasket. = RM 185.00
Flywheel Oil Seal. = RM 108.00
Workmanship. = RM 680.00
Grand Total. = RM 2,008.00

Too much

Bro do you know what are the parts changed? A lot of jobs involved there. I think the charges is reasonable.

How much should it cost? Please let our bro know so that he can get back to the workshop for an answer for the high charges or a refund.
Please recommend to us your workshop for the benefit of the members here.

thanks for sharing bro..

Q1: at what interval was the ATF you did?
Q2: you bought the part at wp auto of somewhere else?

Hi Muhaiminrahim,

Q1: 30k ( Current mileage is 90148, last change of ATF and Auto Filter Pan is at approx 62000)
Q2: All parts from WP Auto Services. (I only bring my own engine oil)

I checked with Albert today. In case members are not aware, replacing the flywheel oil seal requires the exhaust, long shaft & gearbox to be taken down. Yes it may be a small & cheap item but it's really labour intensive. Gb filter also replaced. As for the oil sump gasket, the whole sub frame was removed too. The process avoids excessive bending of all the control arms. Not all mechanics willing to remove the sub frame. Add servicing the car too.

Your choice get a slip shot job for cheap & end up replacing those control arms.

Therefore is the labour too much or reasonable?

Thats why I said its reasonable bro just by looking at the parts changed. Spent too much on my cars and spend too much time in workshop hahaha

Morning Guys,

Thanks for all the feedbacks ya...

So the conclusion here, it's reasonable to service or repair our ride with Albert.
