I'm one of those that suffer from the syndrome of "The street lights are brighter than my headlights".
Wonder if HID's would help.

Am interested but just worried whether the HID would be too hot to the extent of burning and melting the holding bracket. Anyone installed such high performance HID before?

Try to search GB Anger Eye thread from master Jarence,
if not mistaken u can add a resistor to reduce the heat.

bro, you are mistaken. The HID required a starter voltage and holding voltage to keep the arcing of the gas.
The is done by the ballast module which generate the high voltage to sustain the continuous light.

The ballast can work from 9 to 16 V so putting a resitor will not reduce the power consumption but will
only render the HID to be useless.

Unlike the "Angel Eye", it is using SM LED where the intensity can be controlled by a resistor.

ORIGINAL e39 headlights and e46 steering feel, both suck big time.
former is dim, latter is irritating loose steering.......

no matter what mods u do to both of them, they won't improve.

that shows original parts are not always the best.............

Check and see if your head light is shakey in the insides> adjuster roken thats why no throw

Too hot to handle? it won't happen, see u tube at this link http://www.bmwclubmalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?37237-HID-55W-vs-35W/page3
and i never heard anyone uses resistor to lower heat.
however if u install HID, ensure the light r properly adjust so not to blind other road user.

Finally this day has come.I able to change the adjusters for both light without assemble the headlights. I also can offer the service for changing the e39 adjusters already..............yeah..................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can take out the adjusters again, take pictures and re-install into headlights. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.

then post a 'How To' here with pictures for the benefit of others.

I dont have pictures leh...............somemore i also dont know what pictures need to take also.............i just know how to do only jek mah..........

And the tricks are , you have to remove the ball holder with very tight area loh.

That is all only. And very sorry is that once you have put in the adjusters then you cannot take it out again due to the ball holder will hold it until u cannot remove it.

I where got selfish.............if u dont believe what i said then u can try it or if u got broken headlight then i do it for u then u take the video lah.

Like that ok boh ? And after i put in the adjusters if u able to take out again without make anything broken and no need to assemble the headlight then u are the god of hero already

That is why i am asking bmw7833 to take video for next time repair the headlight lah. In fact for this repair take the pictures is useless because the headlight is not assemble. But if take the video i think cannot show anythings also. If take video you only can see me keep on put in my fingers into the headlight. But if got a person which very good in explain what i am doing with the video then may be you can understand what i am doing. So i need someone volunteer for this .............hahahahahahahahaha
