Can I know what is the average cost of each service visit during the BSRI period? I know it's FOC but I just wanna figure out roughly how much is the total saving of the free service cost during the additional period of 2 years because currently there is a promotion - 5 years BSRI

Oil change for 6-potter about RM700, 4-potter about RM500, about 15k~20k km interval.

Brake rotor and pads about RM2k per set, can last about 30k~40k km.

Cabin filter and wiper blade, every 2 oil change.. dunno the actual price though..

Brake fluid every 30k km.. About RM170 per job, fluid and labor inclusive.

Coolant is every 60k km.. so last time not covered by BSRI because BSRI expires at 60k km.. :4: Now since extended to 100k km.. they should now include this in BSRI. SC selling about RM45/1.5L, need 2 bottle.. labor dunno la.

I dont think so. Better consult BMW SC for correct engine oil or ask other owner of 320d

First, are you going to claim insurance? If yes, go to any BMW dealers. They will send outside anyway. But you will get peace of mind for original parts. Depending on what insurance policy you have, you might have to fork out the money first and claim later.

If you are not going to claim insurance, then you need to decide if you want original parts or not. And then you can source of the part yourself from BMW dealer or OEM dealer. For painting and fitting, you have lotsa options these days with many workshops.

BTW, how bad was the Honda City?

I was quoted RM 1,200+ for new battery for E90 from Ingress Auto.

Battery life was said to be 40%. I am not sure how Ingress arrived at the figure. Does it make sense to you guys?

wow... :42:, last 2 weeks i saw another e90 hit by someone also, along the east-west highway frm cheras to PJ, near Taman Desa, the damage was almost like yours.

If that driver cover your repair cost, just replace with new bumper, in AB or well recommended workshop, i think other bro will advice you then.

Yes, the Honda City should also be in very bad shape and confirm claim insurance, you might as well tumpang and get it fixed at the authorised SC. A new original bumper can cost up to RM4k, before paint job and labor.

Yes, will claim other side insurance. Quotation come out, total cost around rm4,000++ from AB.. SA said a piece of reserve sensor cost around rm 300. For h.city front bumper is just concave inside.

Ingress Auto came back with final quote of battery for E90 at RM 1,3xx/- inclusive labour and one year warranty.

Bavarian Auto came back with final quote at RM 950/- without labour. Not sure about warranty. I think none.

What do you guys think?

Battery life is at 40% according to Ingress. Is there a way to measure life of battery or is it just BS?

no indication at all , just 1 fine day cannot start , suspected the battery , called up the number on my windscreen , gentleman from bmw service came by in BMW X3 - said the battery kaput already , i ask him to show me proof , he brought out some gadget he plug in to the battery and come out 1 receipt from the gadget saying the battery kaput. so ok fine, change battery right there and then , had to pay cash to him on the spot too..... >.> cost around 1k-1.2k , labour is just pick up battery from the X3 to my car, and screw it back in.

after battery change a lot of indicator come up , he just said to go back to service centre and reset everything which i did without any cost. i think battery was never changed since 2005 , this was the 1st batch of e90. 320i . bought this pre-owned 2008. battery kaputed early 2011 i think .


ive done quite a lot of trips to ingress for servicing and faults for my e90. accumulate alot of those envelops. the normal wear and tear like brake pads and discs. cost around 1.6k - 1.8k for front or for back , not front and back. engine oil 900ish. dont get me started on O-ring leaking.
