Mine is 320i 2008 M Sport. I've changed some of the items that you changed and they are much cheaper.

For example,
Battery was about RM600
Microfilter RM180
Rear shocks 2 pcs about RM1000 (BOGE)

i changed almost everything except for the disc brake.. around 8k..

after a while the car was sent back again for another few k.. (i dont have the detailed records with me now on items changed, i will try to find the records when i go back home). In total, i spent more than 20k and guess what the car has been classifed as not safe to drive (jerking, funny noises, warning indicators still there) and permenantly parked at home.

i am thinking to send this car to a good workshop and get it fixed once and for all. Also, to find out what exactly happened to the car and then decide what i want to do with the sc!

any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Anyone has similar experiences?

Thanks!

Pardon me guys, this is a parts price register to help out other owners with parts info and price reference. Not a suitable place for chit chats, opinions or discussions.

koktsin, most of the parts you changed are more than double the price we bought from part shop and most are listed in this thread. Please do your own searching.

When vacuum pump leaks, change the O-ring, not the whole pump. Unless your brake is failing because vacuum pump is to create vacuum for brake booster to work. Anyway, please open other thread for discussion. Thanks.

koktsin, please go to authorised service center to get it sorted out. For the price you paid currently, your workshop charged you SC price but can't even get the job done. At SC, you at least enjoy some complimentary coffee and cheese cake. Most parts and labor has 2 years warranty, Yes, labor too!

Hi Astroboy,

The car was serviced and repaired at an authorised service centre at northern region. This is the only SC in this area. I am thinking to bring the car to an outside service centre for fixing the problems.

Cheers

Merry Xmas to all

I was told that BMW suspension (shocks) is expensive to change, any one care to share a bit with me? Was thinking should i buy the car with montly income of about RM5K only...

E90 320d Msport is an excellent & fun car to drive due to its high torque plus fuel consumption is just marvelous.

I think RM 130k would be a good buy for a 2011 car. Expensive is quite subjective as it depend on one's earning power and some owners has even upgraded/mod their rides to a tune of multiple thousands ($$$). Looking at your income of RM5k per month, I personally don't think owning a e90 320d is a wise decision as you may have other commitments (car monthly repayment, house/room rent, income tax, etc).

Anyone changed their engine & suspension mounting before? Pls share on the cost and mileage when its done, thinking of changing mine..currently on 110k mileage..

I had came across few current owners who got their 2011 320ds at around RM120-125k couple of months ago, reasonable milleage with good overall condition. You may use that as a benchmark.

My e90 lci mileage around 125k, front brake worn balance left around 1200km, wonder need change front disc together? Or just skim the brake disc?

In my opinion, with a 125k mileage, you gotta change the front disc altogether

My 323 with GM gearbox, mileage is approx 52k km, intending to service the transmission, below are the parts purchase from BA Subang....

Questions, they recommended the oem trans oil as per pic below with oem trans filter but with original gasket, are these combo ok?

Thanks guys

Planning to get these changed at maybe Bomin or Autobahn, what would the labour be like?

My first time making such arrangements

Thanks guys....

Follow up on this, decided to go Autobahn Sunway to have the above all changed... Below are the total cost, think the oil filter and the coolant (1.5 litre) is bit pricey, nevertheless is my first time there, friendly boss and decent place...

The boss days is good that I got the original gasket as it comes with the o rings... So far smoother, will check for any possible leak, have not changed my auto filter on my other jap cars for what.... 13 yrs, usually just changed the fluid every 20k km...

Cheers
