My recent experience in replacing brake components reveals that Stuttgart gave a better price compared to BA. So probably give both shops a call first.

It comes in a grey box with BMW written all over it. Take a wild guess ;)

If you're a spirited driver, you can opt for non-oem pads. But that you have to source elsewhere.

There will be two types of pads they will offer, one is the original BMW pads and another is the OEM ones which is cheaper. From experience the OEM ones wears out fairly fast.

Wideawake & Mavik: Thanks for the tips. I will give BA, Stuttgart and M1 a call to compare prices. Plan to change it today.

Just called up Stuttgart, Bavarian Auto and M1 for a quote to replace Original BMW front brake pads for E90 325i 2011.

Stuttgart - RM 530 (Ori) + RM 45 Sensor (OEM)
Bavarian Auto - RM 500 (Ori) + RM 45 Sensor (OEM)
M1 - RM 500 (Ori) + RM 45 Sensor (OEM) + RM 34 (Labor)

Looks like I will be going to M1...

Any OEM brand would do. TEXTAR, JURID or TRW.

RM500 is expensive for pads. Try Bomin or Suan Huat.

If I am not mistaken, I pay for Rm425 for 1 pair of front brake pads from Bavarian Auto , Taman Maluri

Has anyone done a full ATF oil change and with the change of filter on GM gearbox ? How much does it cost and what do they actually change ?

Went and did an oil change for my gearbox and replaced a new set of OEM ATF pan for my GM gearbox.

Costed me about RM1200.00 at a friend's work shop near Ara Damansara. Helped out a bit and was very satisfied with the feel and drive of the car so far. Did an oil change as well with Castrol Edge Titanium 5w40.

So far so good.

RM1200.00 considered ok right to do a gear box oil and ATF change? NOticed my rear bush not in best shape. Any idea how much to replace this?

Forgot to mention that ordered the gear oil & atf filter direct from dealer. Bought the castrol 5w40 at eonos at rm218/bottle of 4L

i just changed my brake pads & disc :-

Bought it at BA SS 2

brake pads - RM192
disc 300 x 24 - RM 135
sensor - RM 35

total - RM497 + RM100 (workmanship) = RM597

Dear Sifus,

I have been quoted the following, just to know if it is reasonable? By the by it's for a e90 lci 320d.

1. Engine oil + filter RM500
2. Gear oil replacement + flushing + pan filter RM1600

RM 500 for engine oil and filter seems expensive for 4 pot..correct me if I am wrong.

Thats too high in my opinion. Just did ATF oil change last month n cost me rm750 only. Bought parts from BA n done at Bomin auto.

It depends on the engine oil they are giving. Normally with Liqui moly engine oil plus engine flush Ceratec and filter it comes to around rm500+

Gear oil replacement is very expensive. Mine cost rm980 even with after market ATF fluid

By the way, the dealerships are having Merdeka sales now, check with them for a quote. I heard ingress in puchong is quite reasonable.

i changed almost everything except for the disc brake.. around 8k..

after a while the car was sent back again for another few k.. (i dont have the detailed records with me now on items changed, i will try to find the records when i go back home). In total, i spent more than 20k and guess what the car has been classifed as not safe to drive (jerking, funny noises, warning indicators still there) and permenantly parked at home.

i am thinking to send this car to a good workshop and get it fixed once and for all. Also, to find out what exactly happened to the car and then decide what i want to do with the sc!

any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Anyone has similar experiences?

Thanks!
