affan,
so all n52b25 got 218hp whether m-sport or not?pls correct me if im wrong.another thing, the car got no push start button.

The engine code is the important part. If the engine is an n52b25, it is 218hp. Since it came with chrome window trims, it is a non m-sport. Not sure why there is no push start. There could be some batches without

Same engine but de-tuned spec......523i around 180hp rasanya

Anyway, was told the 2 "M" and "N" series drive very differently. The "M" has better low rpm responsiveness while the "N" give better smoothness in high rpm range. Go test drive and feel for yourself la.

Hi all sifu,

Top up engine oil is it normal for BMW 5 series? My ride is 523i LCI 2007. Current engine oil is Shell Helix Ultra.

5,000 Km mileage and I top up 2L BMW engine oil 5W40 already. So this condition is it normal?

Thanks in advance for the advise.

I never had to top up. Mine was a E60 2009 Msport LCi 525i. But i replace the engine oil every 6000km. I think the engine never had a chance to "makan" oil.
Have you check if your car's exhaust emits "white" smoke?

Previously, I had a 520i 2007 (also E60) and I remembered that car's engine need to top up a little (about 900ml - 1liter) every 5-6k kms but not 2 liters like you mentioned.

Maybe give it a check with your workshop bro....

Mine is N52B30 running on thin BMW LL4 5W30. no need top up engine oil. mileage now 95k km.

Yes topping up 2-3 litres before each service of 8000-9000 milleage is normal for magnesium engine as was told by ks auto bmw specialist in usj 1. Mine also happen the same but so far so good.

Topping up 2 to 3 litres is certainly abnormal if your engine is healthy!!!
