BRo .. i think u had made wide research over these two cars. I believe u cant have 50/50 balanced interest by now. I bet it must be like 1 or 2% more towards certain make, be it E60 or E39. Get the one your heart craving for , where you negotiate with the MIND later.

For the record , i am a E60 driver and started the UDM journey with E39 ( mine was just 523 single vanos ) . Its a heaven in every aspect and a WIN/GOAL from all corners . If you are concerned over the power output.. get a 530 ( its a full package ) . They share same engine M54 double vanos.

As for E60 ,its another beast from different world with its own pr and cons. Anyhow its not the world you arer are asking for ( at least for time being ) . So .... whats more broo . E39 all the way ..cheers

Hey bro,
Since you are comparing an 50k with 160k. This is what I will do if I were you.

I will go check out F10 as well, compare it with E60. If you prefer E60 than F10, then for sure you should buy E60.

But i guess most probably you will prefer F10. Then why not buy E39 now and save the 100k first, 5 years later when F10 price dropped, then only buy F10.

In fact if you are comparing E39 with E60, and their price is 100k difference, that means E39 should be the wise choice. And you can still upgrade to F10 5 years later. Why not?

But if you prefer E60 than F10, then of course go for E60 now lor.

Make sense?

If you have not own a bimmer before, it's also better to get a cheaper entry to experience it first. I have also bought my first bimmer few months ago E39, a strange thing happened to me. After I own a bimmer, I started looking at Audi. Haha!

Haha, I don't know, but I'm enjoying my E39 now. No money to change car at the moment.

Bro Lithium, so this means that owning an E39 will "bocor men's wallet" until cannot have the slightest intention to upgrade to new(er) models? :4:

This is the main mentality preparation for e39 pre-owner..no joke in maintenance.

BUT the joy of owning and driving one, also no joke man!!

I don't hesitate to drive a further route (preferable speedtrap free too) to a given destination whenever time permits.

Hi there, ultimately the choice is yours on choosing a E39 or E60.

To fair you should post the same Q&A on the E60 section and see the comments than you will have a better picture.

If you are the type who really would want to have a feel of a drivers car than you get an E39 525i or 530i, take it for a spin a good conditioned one.

Than you can gauge the E39 on it performance u mentioned than the E60 is quicker or faster.........?????? which midel E39 did you test?

Ultimately the decision is yours make a wise choice and happy owning a Ultimate Driving Machine.

Cheers,
