prior to overhaul FC was very bad. was averaging 360 - 370kms on a full tank based on normal daily urban driving.

after overhaul gone up to abt 420kms on a full tank but i still think that the mixture is running rich as the fumes behind the car is sometimes unbearable.

but am not sure whether the FC is ok though. It's just improved from previous usage.

hye guys....need some help here...
does anybody know where to duplicate the e36 car keys???
need to duplicate the keys coz only have 1 oni....hilang kalu........hancooooor.

TQ

You can only get it done from the factory iin Germany as all our keys come with a chip in it that cannot be duplicated here.

First you have to prove to ABav that you are the rightful owner of the car.
Usually, reg card and ic will do. Then they will get your chasis number and then request for a key to be made from Germany.

Cost... around 200 i think. I forgot as i bought a couple of things.

There are three types of keys that you can get, the small slim wallet size plastic one, the usual one with the back key head and a grey one that only starts the car and does not open the glove box.

Takes 3 weeks for the key to arrive. Did mine at AB Glenmarie.

Cheers.

Assuming that I am planning to change the whole front and rear bushings and etc ... can anyone here list out what needs to go and a price indication for the whole works ... excluding labour of course. Been toying with this idea for a while since I have decided to keep the car for another year or two ... Ride is a 97/98 E36 328i.

Thanks fellas,

Help needed guys!!!
where to find missing e36 front grill as per attached.?
and how much does it cost???
mine was missing in action.
do they sell 1 unit or per set...

is yours pre or post '96. I have 1 set pre '96, u can have it free if it fits..

Just tried servicing behind BP station near Naidu (next to old EPF PJ). They can reset service meter.

1) Castrol Magnatec 6.5 lit (bought 2 x 4 lit)
2) Ori Oil filter
3) Labor and reset

Total = RM226

After using this engine oil, car feels better (for me slightly). Then I added X1R, felt a little better. Maybe it's just me. Overall, doesn't feel heavy anymore, smooth accelaration. Now to see if I have better FC.

Bought X1R at brother's in Kelana jaya (new building, bigger outlet) for RM68. Comes with free Petrol treatment.

its very hard to say if your requires a overhaul at that milage .

Its more to how the car was maintained before this .

Regular oil changes do help, but imho get a mech to check the car out .

I am clocking 200k now never did an overhaul . cos the car was maintained very well. and all wear and tear was paid attention to.

hope this helps .
