On a serious note Jeff, this is reoccuring even with OMs. Last time can blame a so called notti CG but at this moment, its not. Do something to make this place fun without all this senseless policing. Many love this place but they are whispering about their unhappiness. Many OMs actually.

But what I find sad the most is that so many ppl love to gossip in the background, but never post their thoughts when it matters. After all, we should be open to postiive and negative criticisms, and no one is perfect, but we learn and improve. If you have something to say, say it. Dont just be a nice guy but laugh at the CMs in the back. If I was a CM, I would love to hear all my faults so that I can improve.

My post was directed to Ramsing aka Mr Ghee as I was hoping he won't post a part III but you took it totally out of context.

I was actually refraining myself from posting as I was hoping that some corrective action will be taken for the above said issue between wingzee and herbert but I see nothing being done to correct the situation but rather more mocking and hummiliation thrown around whish has left a very bad taste to most. These are my thoughts..a paid Om has got the same rights and previledges as you and me and I dont see any harm in moderationg faul languages and name calling but reprimanding an Om for doing his or her own sales and humiliating the person in the open IS TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR and very unbecoming of an office bearer. Any moderation done to a CG is none of my concern .The right thing to do was to PM the initiator and let the person know whatever he thinks in terms of pricing and all. I put myself in the partiular OM's shoes and feel the heat.It is completely his business if he wants to mark up whatever price he wants to, those who want to buy may do so, those who feel its expensive may not do so and if there are any complaints from other Om's regarding this, it should be discussed privately. Where did the discretion practiced all this while dissapear? I truly hope that this situation is handled so that it does not set a bad precedence. I for one have, will and never agree to close the classifieds for the CG's as I lose my previledges of getting good deals by that decision.Now we have scrutinity of OM's sales which I feel is totally absurd. Please do not indulge into the commercial issue as there are many other aspects where I can point out which deters from the actual objective of the club. I'm not trying to stir Sh$t here as if I'm not mistaken there is another club for it. Positive or not action speaks louder than words. Please consider...

:listen: ... no worries JJ. Part III, Part IV and so on is not an issue. As long as one keeps an open mind, positive abt the discussion and not try to find fault, it should be ok :4:. When negativity rules, even if one were to write "I love you" put a smiley to it :love: ... it would be taken as a form of "sexual harrasment" :4: ..

One should not forget that though the forum belongs to the club, The Club is The Club and The Forum is The Forum, each with a sets of rules governing each entity. The rules governing the forum is very specific and we have been lenient at times to allow constructive feedbacks (from all sorts of posting - commercial sales issues, tech matters, general discussion etc etc) for us to work and improve on any short comings.

For those that had missed it (the Rules and Regulation of the Forum) or need a refresher, do go back to the front page of this site and go through it by all means. The do's and dont's are there and the "can do" and "cannot do" of the Moderator/s is/are stated as well.

We are here to learn and improve on our short comings but if we are not open and positive about it, it can never happen. Fault finding is never constructive, so leave it behind and move forward ...

This is a car club and it will still be a car club no matter ... :top:

if u do mistake, regardless u cm, om or cg just lower down your level of ego, admit the mistake and apologize. that's the best thing to do instead of playing with words talk nonsense. that is really not going to solve anything. maybe it works on kindergarden kids but obviously not here.

Just my 2 cents and I'll try to keep my personal opinion IF what actually transpired was right or wrong out of it.

1) It seem unclear if the action / initiative was implemeted by a moderator or a CM because there is no segregation of duties. Coincidently, both are of the same and make things unclear. Suggestion: (like in many other previous post) - CM to provide this clarity.

2) Suggestion: Example, when you get banned/moderated/repremanded in the forum, this is done by the Moderators. A moderator CAN be from part of the CM (not ideal but I can see the reason why it is this way). But to me, a Moderator moderates. S/he action is based on the set rules created onwer/caretaker/commitee.

Suggestion: When an action is taken within scope of moderatorion, you sign off -Moderator-. People know you are just doing your duty and a reason why ie. Foul language, no commercial posting, spam etc. There is no screaming of dictatorship etc etc. If a person is not happy that a 'moderator' has gone to far, raise this to the commitee and let the commitee decide if indeed this action was too far or not based on what the moderator scope is.

3) Urgent and not urgent. Suggestion: where things are in the grey and are not time critical, actions are delayed until the moderator(s) can bring this up to the commitee to discuss and provide a approved way forward.

When thing are time critical and action needs to be taken ASAP etc., the moderator should never exercise any power beyond or outside his/her moderation scope.

However, office bearer who act on behalf of the club can take an action on the forum (as they can in the real world). Sign off as CM and provide a reason why action couldn't wait. You are responsible for your actions within this time period and you'll have to answer to your peers in the commitee. More often, this are 'fire fighting scenario' that needed actions fast. Outcome of discussion should either be an agreement to include into future moderation duties OR an simple explanation / apology that the action taken may not have been really required, now in hindsight.

5) Any good initiative should be discussed and agreed by the CMs prior to going Live and communicated.

6) Any follow-on action, pls take it offline or use the PM first

Life isn't supposed to be sooo serious. Keep thing clear, keep things simple and I'm sure everyone can co-exist and live together.. cheers!
